Found this on a local news site and really shocked me. The headline is misleading and only after reading full story does the reader understand that this is not a Crossdresser at beach but a disturbed person. Headlines only make things tougher for us.

KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) - A man wearing a purple women's bathing suit and carrying a flare gun was arrested after he told a bartender he was going to "get rid of all the dirt bags in Key West," authorities said.

Jeffrey C. Anderson, 55, was charged with carrying a concealed firearm Monday after he brandished the flare gun, which was under a skirt he was wearing, Key West police spokeswoman Christie Phillips said
The bartender, who was not identified, was working in the downstairs bar of The Bull and Whistle, a popular Key West watering hole located on Duval Street.

"She reported she had seen a man, later identified as Anderson, dancing in the street showing tourists his private parts, and asking people for money when they took his picture," the news release said.

The bartender said Anderson then approached her, telling her he was going to get rid of the city's "dirt bags" before displaying the gun, police said.

Police quickly located Anderson and found an orange 12-gauge flare gun in his possession, Phillips said. He was transported to the Monroe County detention center. It was not clear if he had a lawyer.

It's stories like that that hurt us all.
I think I would prefer to see some men in a one piece bathing suit then some of the other options available.

"Yeah, another big step towards acceptance":Angry3:

But Krysten is absolutely right, some men really should wear a bathing suit instead of causing eye cancer.
Where are those headlines ???

Well it is obviously a fashion faux pas. Purple does not go with a flare gun.

Someone sent me a picture a while ago, I wished I could find it. It was a big fat man in a , mens Speedo suit, cowboy boots and hat. Just let your mind wander on that thought....BJ

But it was not the fact that it was a guy wearing a dress that got him arrested. It wsa the fact he had a weapon and had stated he was wanting to use it, and he was intoxicated. This individual is a topic of coversation in a usenet group, and a few folks there knows him, and he is a flamboyant drag queen......and has been more or less a pretty common figure in this area for years......but it was the first such time he made threats that warranted action, so there really is no concern that it has hurt anyone but him. He has been a thorn in the side of the local government there for years.

I once wore a ladies swimsuit to the pool at my apartment complex...I've never seen people get up and leave so quickly! At first, it really hurt my feelings, but then I realized that all I had to do to have the pool all to myself was slip into a women's swimsuit. I enjoyed the hell out of it all summer long!

Key West is one of the most accepting areas,in this country for all types of people so this case should not be any reflection on crossdressing etc. This individual has real problems carrying a weapon and issuing threats of bodily harm.He needs to be under a Doctor`s care.Key West has a large gay population and is an accepting haven for crossdressers. This is the action of only one person.:hugs:

duh.........Anybody that was acting in such a manner would have been arrested.
His outfit would have had nothing to do with it.....So I am pretty sure that we haven't suffered as a group because of his antics.

Yeah if it bleeds it leads ! Anything that catches the readers eye will sell ! "A man in khaki's and a pocket tee (oh my) was arrested today by the fashion police and taken to the "Dress Barn" for a fashion up date, film at eleven" LOL.
