Ok for some reason I have reached a time in my life where I am thining on top very rapidly. Would the hormons help slow or stop this unwanted trend?

I'm not an authority, but I don't think it will have an effect. Sorry :( . It may slow down future loss though.

Well if I have to take something for the rest of my life i would rather it be something i want like hormones : )

Personally, I would consider hormones myself if I wasn't so damn old.

I was ordering HRT RX on the net the other day & noticed that it claims to stop the male receding hair line. But im no proffesional, thats just one of the many things they say HRT will do.......... ;)

I may stop or slow it, but it sure won't fix what's gone.

No it wont fix whats gone but it will stop the receding... Sounds silly but try shaving the bald spots. sometimes you can get regrowth and if your considering HRT it should keep it from receeding. but im no MD....my brother has a bad receeding hair line and he started bick'n it & it started to grow stubbles back, but dont know how thick cause he now shaves his whole head... :

Darn, that never worked for me. I am kinda thinning in the front. I shaved my whole head for a while. No help.

It helps [estrogen]but not for hair folicles that have been dead for more than a few years, but it will help hold what you have until you stop takeing it.

Thanks Julie, yes i would not proceed until I confir with my Dr.

She already knows that I dress. My last doctor visit for my back I was wearing femme under clothes and jeans and boots and a touch of makeup.

Anyway i will have her run a full blood spectrum.

You can buy gorgeous wigs for less than most therapies, and you have a range of styles and colours. wenda.
