Hello everyone, having read of others exploits out in the world in androgynous/femme male attire I finally got op the courage to try it myself. Got up early, shaved very close, fluffed my own short hair up a little, and put on some very light makeup. I dressed in a lovely turquoise tunic top, faded ladies jeans, hose and my new white Keds. I was very nervous leaving my house but soon got over it. First stop was Wal-Mart for a little white purse on a long shouder strap, no comments there but more than a few stares that made me feel odd, like a combination of being excited and embarrassed at the same time, quite interesting. Next was something to eat at a local family restaurant where the waitress did say she liked my top, yes, she actually used the word " top " Some blushing, a smile and a shaky " thank you ". So far, so good. Wanting new shoes, the next stop was Payless. Walked in, headed straight to the ladies size 10 aisle, where on of the employees was stocking the shelves. She asked if she could be of any help and I got very bold and told her I was looking for something pretty for the summer and not too high. She didnt even bat an eyelash and showed me these very pretty white espadrilles. Tried on the 10's which were a wee bit too tight, luckily they had a 10 w which was perfect!. The lovely young lady even showed me the correct way of lacing and tying them. It was so odd to be having this conversation with her dressed as a was and even trying on ladies shoes and her not saying a thing and acting as if it was all quite normal.
When i got home i had to slip on a wig and a skirt and take a pic of my new shoes.
I'm sorry for rambling, but this was a bit of a special day for me and deffinately something I'll do again.
Love
