Makeup

I when to the beauty section and there nothing posted there. So I came here. I want to know where could I learn the art of applying makeup. I have a very vague ideal of how some of it works. But mostly I'm lost.

I live in Okla. if that help any.

Suggestion please.

There are some great books out there, at your local book store. The one I like is by Mary Quant. And online at the cosmetice mfgs. I watch "What not to wear" where Carmandy gives great tips and there are also other TV shows. There is a good link to a web site and don't have it right here but someone will probably post it, if not search the archives here. Fairly well done, 3 episodes that show you how to do makeup, and done on a real live CD. LOL

Department store cosmetic counters/Sephora stores/MAC stores: Lots of good (but sometimes pricey) products and information. Need to find a matching foundation shade? They can help.

I think it is like this....but someone correct me if I am wrong (I'm still learning.)

Undercoat.....moisturiser.
Crack filler.....concealer then foundation.
Paint job......powder.
Decoration....eyeshadow,blusher,mascara, lipstick.


And then you're set to go.

But just like plastering and brick laying...it takes practice.
