ladies lets change the name of this site

hi ladies,

i was just thinking lets change the name of this site or how can i make a website called The Ladies League of America. Also cds can join and furlovers too You are probably thinking why change the name i dont know if you ladies know what happened to that NYC drag queen but it made me outraged because all us ladies need to do is stand together and be united and rid us of all this violence, so why not change the name to something we all know i do like the sound of The Ladies League of America i dont know if any of you ladies love that name but its a start. Please i do need help in making a website after that attack of that nyc drag queen i do need feedback ladies please help.

I don't feel that your name is workable at all. In thre first place we really aren't ladies in the strict sense of the word. It also is too general. If a new name is needed it should be clearly definitive in order to command thought.

The site name say it all, were not ladies, were crossdressers, some may wish to undergo SRS to become ladies but there are also a lot of us that are happy with the term crossdressers or transvestite.

Secondly this is a www site, Ie world wide web, not just america's use this site, hence there are users from all over the world, not just the US.

Thirdly, you can't just change a domain name to what you want, there are registration fee, admin fee's, and charges just to point people to this site ie DNS search engines need to be updated, and records kept, so it not just a case of changing a logo (oh thats another cost!)

Lastly, why is this such a problem, I would suggest if you want to change the world, and rid it of this sort of thing, you start closer to home, do some charitiable work, in areas close to where you are that need it. As much as it is sad to read about such small mindedness, just changing a websites name is not going to make the slightest of different, nor are these people all going to change there views over night, nor most likely over years even. you can't wipe out predjudgist it will always be there in one form or another! yep you can try to educate people, and the younger they are the better. however as much as you can lead a horse to water, you can't make him drink, nor can you even begin to educate little jonny for a few hours a week, if he goes home, to a house full of homaphobes, racists, or any other form of petty hatered.

I live in the UK, and whilst love Americans, not all users are from there.

League suggests you play pool or darts or something like that.

What about female to male cds?

Attacks are a rare event.

As for getting rid of violence? It will take many hundreds of years, if not thousands. Oh I am thinking of war in general (not just those against cds).

Sorry Felicia, I give that name change a "no" too, for all the reasons mentioned.

If you want to make your own site, it's fairly easy if you've got the time to devote to it.
1) Learn to create web pages. Check out the tutorials at W3 Schools (http://www.w3schools.com). You can code them by hand or buy a program (e.g. Frontpage or Dreamweaver) to maske your pages.
2) Register a domain name.
3) Get a web host.

I'll be happy to help guide you through these steps if you'd like. Heck, I wrote a small tutorial that should have you hand coding simple (very simple) pages in no time. And there are decent webmaster forums to help you over the rough spots.

surely if your not looking for censorship, and the right to be who you want to be, how can you censor other!

I am very much against changing the name of the site. I agree with several of the other respondents, and I think that the current name of this site gives us a very distinct identity that we share. I think "league" suggests some political connotations that I don't want to subscribe to.

For those of you who have protested that not every member is from the UK, I would point out that not every member is from New York either. The USA is a very big, very diverse country. I live 3000 miles from NYC; what happens there on a daily basis is usually not of any particular interest to me.
