I'm going to try and do a major shave this weekend and by major I mean, legs and front-torso. I don't think if I'll ever be able to do my arms but one thing at a time. I asked my wife for help and she kind of shrugged and said okay, like it was no big deal.

Being quite hairy, I'm very excited! Any suggestions or tips or warnings from those with more experience?

I would start by using a hair trimmer and getting as close to the skin as possible. Then use a razor for the rest. This is what I do and seems to work pretty well. It depends on how hairy you are.

My wife shaved my entire body several years ago and the itching was terrible. I shave my legs and underarms but let the torso grow back because she loves it so, kinda keep a happy medium thing.

Pretty darn hairy. :Angry3:

I'm hoping once I start to keep up a weekly practice to keep the hedge trimmed and the lawn bare, so to speak. Thanks for the tip! I'll pick up a trimmer as well.

I thought about the itching and I'm hoping some skin lotion will help with that.

Idunno why but its very important for me to have a bare chest when I crossdress, that's one thing that I hate about me when I'm en femme is when I can't see my bare chest in a bra.

Here's hoping!

If you keep the area shaved, then the itching tends to go away...at first it will be bad because your body is not used to it....but that will subside as well

I like the bare chest when dressed also, at least my boobs. I do not wear forms as I fill a 38b naturally but do have some inserts I wear ocasionally.

I am almost 33 and I am still waiting on a chest hair to grow in just so I can shave it off.

Funny, I've shaved on and off for awhile, and I've never had itchy skin.

I feel like I'mgoing tohave a natural A cup or maybe an AA. I'm so excited to see my chest without any hair!

Get some of that Suave body lotion and use on your legs afterwards - YUMMY!!!!!

Nothing better than slipping between the sheets with fresh shaved legs...

To start at the begining, I had extremely abundant hair over my chest, my legs and my arms.

The first time I decided to remove most of my body hair, I was recomended to use a depilatory cream (VEET as it was, but I assume most other brand could do).

It was a fabulous discovery. First of all no pain what so ever. I had heard some complaints about the awfull smell of the cream, but it didn't strike me as being that awfull.

I now alternate between depilatory cream and shaving. The result with the cream lasts longer and is leaving a far smoother skin than shaving, not counting the problem of some unwanted cuts and small bleeding that can happen with shaving...

One precaution though, follow strictly the indications for the use of the cream. There is a risk of skin irritation otherwise, in particular for keeping the cream acting longer than indicated.

I started shaving my pubic area and my underarms when I was in the seventh grade. Ny biology teach told our class that he shaved because itwas hygenic, so that was my excuse to shave. Then soon after that I started shaving my legs also, I don;t much go out in shorts, so I didn;t worry about anybody seeing them. But anyway, I still keep my body smoothe, and I'll never go back to hairy. The itching can be controlled if you keep your pubic area constantly shaved. I like to use a lubrication lotion because it stays moist longer and keep my skin smoothe and from drying which is also another reason for the itchies. I just can't stand to have any stubbles on any part of my body, so I shave everyday. Afterwords I give myself a trea t by going out and buying maybe new nylons and possibly a garter and bra and panties, I just love wwearing newundies right after a body shave. Try it I'm sure that you will feel as rewarded and as fem as I do, what a natural high....

Be careful when doing the bikini area - the skin is particularly sensitive. If you get any ingrown hairs after (which can cause a spotty rash), putting pure alcohol on them will fix it.

I have been shaving my total body for year now.
I find that if I haven't shaved my legs or arms for a little while then an electric razor works great, followed by a wet shaver.
It's just great to feel smooth, to hell with what others may think.
I like it so does my wife, and really what matters to me.
I just love being a woman.

Well, I hate shaving, but I hate all that body hair even more. So, I have become a "slave to the blade". I've been shaving my entire body for about two years I guess and it's worth every minute! I was extremely hirsute and would be again if I let down my guard, so to speak. I use one razor(Mach III) for my shoulders and chest, and a Venus razor for my legs, and still another for my face, along with an electric razor. I use a hair trimmer for my arms, set at almost the shortest level, it leaves just a tiny amount of arm hair. My wife uses the trimmer on my back, followed by the electric razor. Whew!!! Why, oh why, couldn't I have one of those almost hairless male bodies?!? Sheesh!

My shaving routine adds about 20-25 minutes to my shower routine and I usually touch up my chest and shoulders daily, while shaving my legs every other day. I enlist Jackie for the back jobs about every two weeks. Yes, I dream of some kind of permanent hair removal but until then, it's me and the blades. Olivia

Wow - thanks for all the input! I'm truly glad I posted this before trying it - thanks again for all the ideas.

Thanks so much for this tip - I'll look into getting some and trying it out this weekend!

I'll give everyone an update once I've tried it out. I'm so excited, I can't wait for saturday! :)

EugenieI'm with Eugenie. When I first started shaving my body, I soon became disillusioned with how quickly the regrowth was, so I went into a department store and purchased a depilatory cream and was amazed at the difference in terms of it's effectiveness!

I used depilatory creams for many years thereafter until I gained the confidence to try body waxing at a salon, which is all I do now. Still, I have a bottle of depilatory cream handy for quick hair removal when I have the need.

Shaving is OK but you need to do it regularly. Use body lotion and a growth inhibitor. Body wash in shower works well but not as well as body lotion. Veet carries a hair growth inhibitor and it works. Wearing nylons helps if you have to be out in male drag (mens cloth is ruff and irritates stuble). For first time shaving go with the hair. Shaving against the direction of hair growth gives a better shave but cuts the hair below the skin. Give you skin a chance to soften up before shaving realy close. When you start shaving against the direction of hair growth its best to shave after a hot shower - stubble is most exposed at this time and your skin is as pliant as its going to be - this reduces razor burn and nicks. Lastly, don't rub the skin when drying this irritates it. Pat you skin dry (always). Hair grows in cycles so results are not always consistent - don't worry about it can't be helped.

I prefer waxing. It hurts but the results last and I love putting the oil on my skin after waxing. One razor rash can be worse than the pain of waxing. Waxing realy only hurts for about an hour or so after its done. Like shaving trim the hair short (about 1/4 of an inch) before waxing. Hair needs to come out individualy and evenly otherwise you get brusing. Always make sure your skin is clean and dry before waxing. Don't wax your underarms unless you realy know what you are doing. I have been doing it for years and still shave under the arms.

You will love the feeling, i make a day out of it, i shower shave every thing and do a braziian cut to the grion area.
Then i go to the spa, get a massage and my nails done.
I love the girl who trims my nails she has a lot of fun.
She was doing my toe nails and P/U a nice toe ring and ankle bracelet with charms on it for me.
Comeing out to women is a lot easier than to my male counter parts.
Best wishes and:hugs: Nadeen

I've just started shaving my body hair off and can agree, yes it itches like crazy, I use a Philips Bodygroom and a disposable razor. I put E45 cream on afterwards and it does ease the itching. Must confess that I like my shaven body as far as it is.

I started shaving my chest two years ago. I had some ingrown hairs, and used witch hazel and isopropyl alchohol. I had my chest waxed as a 'treat' this spring.... Holy S**t Batman! It wasn't comfortable (but not as bad as portrayed in 40 year old virgin), but I had a mess of ingrown hairs!
I don't have a shower, so use a tub, and shave my face, neck, chest every day. When you shave your chest, you need to feel which way the hair grows. I shave in every direction. I agree, you can't look femme with a big hairy chest! Just doesn't work!
I have used Aveeno shaving cream, which really does a nice job. I used it when I first shaved my legs, and have been using it ever since. I also use Aveeno cream which soothes the skin and inhibits hair growth. I have had mixed results with cream removers, from awesome to disappointing. You do need to follow the directions precisely.
I am letting the hair on my legs grow, so that I can wax them. It works well for me, and I shave between waxings.
It's a good idea to get your SO to help. When I dressed as a cheerleader, and checked my rear view, I was horrified to see I had hair on my lower back! Where the hell did that come from? I got it by myself, but would have liked to have had some help.
Please keep us posted on how it turns out. have fun!

Good for you to give it a shot. I am probably one of the most hairly beasts out there (Shut your mouth!) and I can only imagine what it must be like. I have used almost everything and the creams do seem to work the best, certainly better than shaving.
