Hi Girls.
Being over here in the UK, we do not have thanks giving so what date is it on this year?
Here in the UK, we eat turkey at Christmas. I will never forget my first time of cooking the turkey at Christmas. I was fine with plucking it; I had no problem with stuffing it, but then came the hard part. I JUST could not kill it.

Almost always the last Thursday in November. It is actually the fourth thursday in November except on the rare ocassion that the powers that be deem it to be the third Thursday in November.
It used to be the same day as the OU vs Nebraska football game, but that was in the 60s and early 70s, not that it would mean much to a person from England.

I knew the fourth Thursday rule but never heard of the third Thursday wrinkle. Can you tell me more?
