The voice in your head

I was wondering, when you sleep, when you hear yourself in your head (assuming you do) what do you hear? Do you hear your female voice, your male voice, or something in-between?

This "voice" is a combination of audio and visual. The sound (if that's what you wanna call it) of it is unisexual and is usually telling me to motivate myself in some way. Ericka

When I dream, I'm a transgendered woman about half the time. This in spite of the fact that I've been living that way, full time, for about 8 years now.

In my dreams, I'm still a guy the other half the time. I guess the brain lags behind reality somewhat. :heehee:

The voice in my head doesn't address me in gendered terms anymore. It just calls me "You." But I notice that it has become far less critical and hostile in the years since I've accepted my transgenderedness. My once-chronic depression is gone, too. Situations can get me down, but normally I'm a very happy person.

Well, it looks like the consensus up to this juncture is either you have a mixed/neutral voice, or no voice at all (generally). Very interesting. I wonder how this type of survey would differ if only TSs were polled versus CDs.:thinking:

As you read each person's postings, do you find that the voice in your head changes with each person, to fit what you think that person voice sounds like based on what you read and their avatar? Also have you ever notice that if the person is male the voice in your head is male and if it is female, the voice is female?

Yeah , some tell me do this , others say I have to do. That.
Yet if u come to think about it, theres no voices in our head, as it works on pure data. The tech department girls will tell u that if electricity had sound it would be "gggggggggggggg....ggggggggggggg....g.ggg....g..... ....g......."
SO that cant be girl or boy....
