I don't know what everyone uses to remove hair but after years of trying different products have finally found one that actually works really well.i've tried veet wax strips, shaving, veet and nair cream but this is fantastic! It exfoliates and removes pain free.if anyone is interested here's a pic http://www.ukhairdressers.com/store/details.asp?ID=BaB8790U

From a UK based Ebay seller, I recently bought a white powder called Magic. It is also sold in the US too. Reasonably priced at £6.60 including shipping.

Tried it first on my face twice, but came up sore.
I am still tempted to try again though, after what happened last night.

Last night, I tried a small test patch on my left shin. WOW!!! I'll say that again shall I? WOW!!! It really is magic. After leaving on for upto 7 minutes, and scraping off with a teaspoon in the shower, my skin is baby smooth!

No pain, no burning, no irration, no hair!!

Hi Angela
yes the simply smooth is a great product it also works for me and i recommended on this forum last year its great for legs gets them really smooth and yes its great for exfoiliating the skin. I bought my simply smooth from boots its stocked at most of the major outlets here in the uk Argos,Boots and superdrugs. i also find after use i recommend a good moisturising cream i use boots Hair mininising moisturiser it does reduce the hair growth and makes them finer.

I've just been introduced to the wonders of a self epilator.

The Braun SP3470 is a good buy and although I did find it painful to start with, after a couple of go's it becomes almost fun.

Does anyone know if something like that is available here in Oz?

I agree that epilating can become addictive..
