So here in the UK, before we can get any treatment for being TS, we have to wait for our PCT to approve funding etc. The PCT or 'Primary Care Trust' basically has a meeting and decides whether or not they will pay London to treat me at CXH. I had a copy of a letter which was sent by my PCT confirming that they will pay for me to go. Yipee I am so happy. Well on my way now. Yipeeeeee

Congrats Ryan, That's wonderful :)

out of curiosity, living in Belgium, I see a lot on the BBC about delays on the NHS for things (well, everything really) is there a delay for TS treatment as well?

Nah, Kieron, I'm a lover, not a fighter. :heehee:

Ryan, that's great news, congratulations. Just so I'm clear, though, what kind of treatment are they paying for? Gender therapy? Hormones? Both? Neither?

Yay! & congrat, Ryan!!!

Its a shame that to the Powers That Be.. its just a little waiting period.. and they don't really comprehend how disheartening that waiting can be.

Love & Hugs

Congratulations, so now the big wait is over and onto another wait right. Waiting. This is thrown out to anybody across the pond, do you have to be declared mentally unright? I find that definitely to be the kicker here, makes you feel loved. Well at least they pay your flight to the mental health institute< heavy sarcasm.

Not menatlly unright, but you are seen by the shrinks at West London Mental Health Authority right the way through your treatment for being a trannny. I am waiting eagerly for my first appointment to come through now from CXH. But still so happy now :-) Oh thanx for the kind words everyone.
