I know this is an old question, but are there any tips/tricks on what to do about ones beard, other than lathering on foundation...Is there a good make up trick to offset the shadow rather than trying to cover it up?

For starters, shave it!!! HAHAHAHAHA (I'm just so damned witty!!!!)

Seriously: there are concealers such as colortration that are more opaque than standard foundation. Also critical is finding a concealer with a color tint that neutralizes the natural tint of your 5:00 shadow. This is a subject that is covered frequently in the beauty section here. I will tell you that it will likely take several tries before you find a product that does the neutralizing correctly. Believe me, you'll know when it's right!
