Hi all,

I've been mostly lurking since joining, thought I'd jump in on this thread.

In cooler weather, I do like pantyhose. For dressier occasions, I feel that they give a "finished" look to my legs. For me, bare legs are great for informal situations, but if I'm out and about while wearing a skirt or dress, I always wear pantyhose, and in cold weather I wear them under pants too. Bare legs with a dressy outfit just don't look right to me, but I am 55, so I was raised in the days when women always wore hose of some sort if they were wearing a skirt or dress. Just call me old-fashioned, I guess.0.02

That said, as much as I like the way they look, after wearing pantyhose all day, I generally can't wait to get them off. They usually feel great for a while, but they seem to get much less comfortable after a few hours, especially in hot weather.

I happen to be one of those women who always wear pantyhose, or ocassionally stockings, every day. It doesn't make any difference to me how hot or humid it gets. I wouldn't be caught dead without them. I'm sure it's cooler without them though.

I cannot wear a dress without tights on, usually 50 denier, yes in summer they can be warm and the feel of a dress against bare legs is also nice there I go again not knowing what I like the best love Tiana x

LOVE STOCKINGS! I live in Florida, so I know hot. That being said, I wear hose every day. Mostly knee-hi's as I dress up in Victorian style to do Ghost Tours and wear boots. The stockings not only feel so good, but are also more comfortable than the usual white socks. Haven't washed a pair of drab socks in a long time as even when I wear sneakers, I wear womans socks. I'll bet if I go look in my old sock draw I'll only find that they have turned to dust. Speaking of boots, I can't wait for the fall shoes and boots to hit the stores as I am going to get some femme boots to wear on my tours instead of the drab I wear now. Shopping, ya gotta love it! No bare legs here. Stockings or hose of some sort always involved. My legs are just not quite ready for prime time on their own.

As for comfort: after putting on the makeup, wig, breast forms, bra and everything else, I assure you the legs are not the focus of discomfort. Even on the hottest day stockings are still cooler than wool slacks when I am in drab mode.

I love both pantyhose and tights... until I've had them on for about 10-12 hours, the I can't wait to get them off! Something about them after a long day is just claustrophobic. Nothing feels better than pulling on a pair of tights at the start of the day... except pulling them off again in the evening! :)

I like the feeling of nylons or pantyhose. But, since it's been pretty warm lately, I've gone bare legged for a couple of months now. I'll go back to wearing hose when the weather cools, but I'm kindof in a phase right now where the least underwear I can wear, the better. That means bra and panties. Love that free, airy feeling.

My favorite item of fem clothing is pantyhose and if I were wearing only one thing fem,that's what it would be.Heat is not really a factor for me anyway,because when I sweat it's mostly from the upper body,so the hose don't really increase my discomfort.If anything I think a bra causes me more discomfort when it's hot than pantyhose.
