I've been so excited over my new freedom I'm giving myself (allowing myself to be a girl, at least once in a while) that I've been coming up with so many plans that I've had to force myself to settle down and do things orderly.
First thing, I need to get some clothes together. I got a few items on order. One thing I just realized I wanted - Low cut jeans. So I'm gonna go to a department store and pick one out. I'm too much of a coward to go into the women's dept. and buy panties  , but I think I can handle buying pants. I'll get a cute belt to go with it too.
Then what I plan to do is go to the mall with the pants on. But ... I'll keep a long shirt on, to cover up the fact that they're low cut. That way, I won't cause a scene, and I'll sorta feel like I'm one of the other girls who proudly wear their low cut jeans. :D
Good plan? I'm really really excited about it. I guess many of you others who go out in full dress and makeup will think this is pretty lame, but, hey, I gotta start somewhere!

Mellow! Dressing down is a smart way to test the waters. There are some girl pants made with velvety fabrics - they won't appear very conspicuous (at least if the color is tame) but they will getcha feeling wonderful.

I do that. I like the way that their jeans fit. I buy purses there too.

If a sales girl helps you find the jeans, and asks if there's anything else, tell her you need panties too. And depending on the store, you could ask for a bra fitting, too. Especially at the smaller boutiques, they don't see a guy, they see a sale...BJ

I wear low rise jeans every day. I got them at Wal-mart in the ladies dept. I went in and found what I wanted but wasn't sure of the size so I got a couple pair and headed to the mens fitting room. I tried on a 11/12 first and they were to big so I got the 9/10 stretch fabric and I just love them. I have lost some weight and I'm thinking may-be I can get into a 7/8. One thing to becareful about is bending over. Make sure that your top/shirt covers the to your wasteband on your panties. I have exposed mine a couple times. I didn't realize it until my GG told me about it when my daughter came to see me.

I have gone into WalMart wearing ladies slacks (the type with no back pockets), ladies T-Shirt, bra, panties, and ladies running shoes. No one even noticed what I was wearing. In fact I got call "Sir" and I would just smile.
Self Checkout is great. I have bought heels, panties, bras, and ect. this way with no problem. I have bought makeup and such at the local Kroger's this way too. Many more stores are putting in self check lanes.

Victoria's Secret is having the semi-annual sale now. Men shop in there all the time, for themselves or thier GF. If you feel shy about it, when they ask you if you want it gift wrapped or whatever, say yes.
Stores don't care. I wonder about all the men in here who are afraid to buy a couple of pairs of panties, what do they do when the GF/SO says "Honey, I'm out of plugs (pads), when you go out to get beer, buy me some."
Anyway, what I notice most about malls today is the amount of empty space. I'm sure other retail types notice it too. It means that business is down, and stores are folding. Profit margins in retail were always razor thin at best, and these days the competition is even more fierce. I'm sure they would be happy to take your money.

Well said! All I would add is attitude: If you act like there's cops waiting for you outside, then the clerk will get the nerves, too. Have a drink (or something) first and enjoy yourself. I think for dressers, clothes shopping is a core act of empowerment.
