Hi Brandy,
Yep, that's the best way to get a wig that is right for you. In my experience, wig stores are more than happy to help crossdressers, our money is as green as anyone's. Go for it!
Good luck!

Brandy...I don't order things...Best way is go and pick it out most wig shops has a private area and will help you pick a nice wig...don't spend to much on the first few you buy ...untill you find the color and shape and what looks and feels great....$50 to $ 60 dollars is about the right price
sometimes you can buy on sale as cheap as $ 14 dollars...once you get what you want then make a choice and spend alittle more.

I have had the best luck when I go in dressed with makeup or at least bring a top with me, so that I can see what the wig looks like on me as a woman. If you just try it on with your male clothes, it may not look nearly as good as it will when you are dressed. You might want to ask the place first, before you come in dressed, if that is OK with them.
