View Full Version : Is hight a problem for anybody else?

I'll get around to introducing myself sometime but anyway here is my first post.
Does anybody else have a problem with their height. I'm 6ft 6" tall and feel that I'd be spotted however well I dressed. If I wasn't I'd have probably gone allthe way a few years ago and had the ops but Being so tall I think anything I do my size would let me down and until there was someway of shrinking me properly I'm stuck in doors....

Well age and gravity will shrink you but your probably looking for something a bit faster? I've shrunk from 6' to 5' 9" at a rate of about an inch a decade. Hmmm I'll be an average female height when I'm about 100. Lol.
But there are surgery's that take sections out of your leg bones but I'd say they are expensive and no fun!! Then you'd still be a tallish girl with stubby legs! :D
So what's wrong with being a tall girl anyway? And why did that stop you from getting SRS? I actually think tall women are very sexy! Amazonish!! And I wouldn't let being tall keep you in inside! Lifes too short for that! If your going out enfemme your going to be noticed whether short or tall!! Just goes with the hobby!!

Being a bit short for a guy not height is not my major problem. I just end up being a little bit above average for a girl at 5'8.
Hun we all have our "problems", but such is life. And don'tn worry you are not the only one inside.
Also remember there are plenty of Very tall hotties, Gabby Reece, plays volleyball for the us beach team and is quite the stunner!
As long as you are happy thats what counts.
Anyway welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy it and get as much out of it as I have.

I've got news for you: at 6'6" are ARE spotted, no matter whether you're presenting as male or female. You can let it stop you if you want, or you can say the heck with it and have the experiences you want to have. It's your choice. (Says the 6' 237 lb. MTF who couldn't fool Helen Keller at 50 yards.)
And welcome. I hope you have a great time here.

I think I'm going to end up at the other end of the "Girl" scale. I was 5'7" for most of my adult life but started shrinking a few years ago. Now I'm all the way down to 5'2". Who knows here it will end? Hope it stops soon before I have to buy a whole new wardrobe. :)

Hi Sarah,
I'm 6'5" myself, so I know exactly where you're coming from. While there are females as tall as us, they are rare, and they attract attention too.
When I lived in the city (Chicago), a friend of mine who lived in my building had a female friend who was 6'4", and she would hang around with us occasionally. I remember one day we were all standing outside near her car talking, and a guy across the street in the park yelled to his friends, "Hey, that's a guy!", referring to our tall female friend (I was en drab at the time, so it wasn't me he was looking at), who turned around and gave him a very unlady-like salute.
I guess maybe we need to take on a little of her attitude if we want to get out into public life, as well as make sure that we look as good as we possibly can.
If you would like to discuss specifics, feel free to contact me in private messages or emails, as well as here.
Hugs,
Carol:love:

Im tall and thin, and its great, I dont always pass, but mainly they are too distracted by the long legs, that they dont bother looking past them at my face, so dont worry about it.

The point I was trying to make is that I'd have to be completely convincing to get away with a "normal" reaction. It would be so much harder and I guess a lot of practice.
Clothes might be a problem as well although I know that my Mum used Long Tall Sally as she was 5ft 10"

I feel the same way, being taller than the average girl makes it a bit more difficult to pass. Not that we need any of that. :D I'm 5'-11". Clothes are not really a problem, there are plenty of places catering to tall women. High heels are a bit tougher -I love wearing 2" to 3" to get the feminine walk and look, but that makes for a pretty tall gurl. Oh well.

If Normal Reaction equates to passing all the time then you'd better stay indoors! LOL And not many of us can do that, I know I can't pass all the time. So getting read is no big deal as long as your not physically put in harms way!! A little embaresing maybe but hey, that's life!! And that all depends on where you want to go out? Location, location, location!! Hehe

Oh, so that's why we shouldn't wear frilly lace dresses to leather bikers conventions... :heehee:
(I just remembered that scene on Priscilla Queen of the Desert where one of the girls does just that...)

have you ever seen the New York Liberty basket ball team? I've seen them up close. I'm 6' 2" and some of those ladies are taller than me wearing flats. I don't know but there's something about a tall girl that gets alot of men aroused, so being tall you may get alot of attention and maybe its the kind your looking for.

6'3" here and yes, for all practical purposes we will never pass in public, if by "pass" you mean "be generally mistaken for genetic females except under close scrutiny". At my height, in certain settings I can still manage not to have every eye in the place reflexively draw my way. And I can level the field in photos, webcams, while driving, etc. That's about as close as I am going to get to "passing".
So for me, passing is not about creating an outright deception in appearance. It can't be. Rather, passing for me is ensuring that people recognize that I am presenting myself as a different gender, hopefully well enough so that they are comfortable relating to me as a woman. (And if they want to say "he looks pretty good as a woman", so much the better!)

I'm 6'2"... I just posted about that in another thread, I think I'm too tall, but reading some of this gives me more confidence. I agree a tall woman is sexy! I guess I need to get some flats :p being tall, and with big feet, shoes are hard to find.

6'4", 240 lbs. I like the way I look and that's all that counts. I don't worry about passing nor do I worry about being hassled!! There are advantages of being a "big" girl!!

If and when i was ever able to really change and become female i certainly would not want to be 6'1 like i am now in my mlae body.
I've always fancied being small like 5'2 or something like that like i would think real girls would want to be i just know i would rather be that way myself I've disliked being a giant take's up way to much space.
Oh well

At 6'5" tall, and as one who likes to wear high heels, but limit myself to 3" heels because of ceiling fans and doorways ???? That kind of height problem?

Hi Dee Dee,
DON"T WEAR HEELS??? But I HAVE to sometimes. Flats are great when you want to be comfortable, but there's nothing like a pair of heels to make your legs look great! Maybe not if one is trying to pass though.
I used to hang out in a women's bar a lot, and I had several Lesbian girls tell me that they wished they were as tall as me, so go figure!

Hi Francine,
I'm 6'5" also, but I do have one or two pairs of 4" heels, but usually wear low heels or flats. However, you just have to break out the "real" heels occasionally for special occasions, especially if you're at a gender community function where it doesn't matter that you're statuesque!
Although I do have to remember to duck when going through doorways, as you mentioned. Ceiling fans are our bane!
Back in the late '80's and early-to-mid '90's when I started going out, I had a heck of a time finding ANY shoe that would fit me, as I wear a men's 15, so I'm looking at a 16 or 17 in women's sizes.
Nowadays, it's so much better. Of course, I can't go to Payless or K-Mart for shoes, but there are decent shoes, and an almost OK selection for bigfoot-related girls like me out there on the Internet.

Hi Carol, (and others)
As far as shoe size, I feel I'm very fortunate being 6'5, but only wear women's size 12 shoe, so I can find some shoes at Payless, Walmart and some department stores. I also have made it a practice to look for more feminine looking men's shoes. I have a pair of black slip-on penny-loafer style shoes with a gold band on them. I think they would look nice with my Worthington slacks, (women's for JCPenny).
I do have one pair of black high heel slings with a 4" heel, but do find them hard to walk in. So I leave them for the bedroom! :heehee:

Hi all you tall girls,
I just wanted to chime in and say that I have a close GG friend who is 6'3" and we have talked many times about the joys and pitfalls of being a tall girl. In general she is proud of her height (she has a beautiful figure) and has never lacked for male attention. She wears heels if she wants to, stands up straight, and projects a "this is who I am, take it or leave it" attitude. I think she is just gorgeous, and I feel the same way about the many tall, beautiful T-girls I know. So don't slouch and hang your head! Tall is not necessarily unfeminine!
I thought you all might enjoy this website, which celebrates tall women and offers statistics, lists of famous tall women, links to clothing retailers, and candid testimonials in which tall girls discuss their feelings about their height. Overall I think it is a self-esteem enhancing site to visit if you are a woman or a CD over 5'10".

Hi Franchine
...there are 3 Wise Words I would say darling...
Supermodels are often over 6' tall...and everybody likes a proud and statuesque woman... the key word here being proud...Maria GG has it right...
I'm over 6' myself and its taken me a while to get comfortable with my height....But I'm way over that now baby...So, when I do the town..I go high heeled...and long leggy...and I don't cower down...I stand tall....
..and I really do stand out from the crowd... I walk about.. and wave like the Queen of England...Looking down on the little serving girls below...
OK..that's two things...
Third thing...don'tcha just hate it when someone says...."..Hey Lofty...I'm lucky...I slept in a small bed when I was a boy... and even now I'm still only the size of Thumberlina...!...Oh yes...and I have small feet....
[..Kim grinds her teeth... she's only human after all...]

Yes! It really sucks being tall. Before I knew I was female, I used to love being 6'. But now I just stick out too much...
Like in my cheerleading squad, the only other person who is as tall as me is John, the only guy we have on the squad. I look back at the videos of my cheerleading and find I look really unnatractive with my head down all the time trying to be on the same level as everyone else :(
So what's wrong with being a tall girl anyway?
That's the other thing... I can't fly! Cos I'm so tall and well built, there's nobody on our squad who's strong enough to lift me :( I'd love to fly even some of the most simple stunts but I can't because of my abnormal body shape. If there was surgery that could make me small and ligh enough to fly, I would give it some serious consideration...

Hi Marla,
Thanks for that vote of confidence and the link to an inspiring web site!
I'm working hard to slim down now, so I hope to get the nerve to try going a bit more public in the near future, height be damned!

I'm 5'11" and love to wear 4-6 inch heels---I also am a Dominatrix--love both the clothes and the attitude---so being tall helps there too--"take that little man!!" lol---seriously one of the most attractive TGs I can think of is RuPaul who is 6'7"---who wouldn't want to spend some "quality time" with her?
