My wig smells like shampoo

I just washed my wig, but it smells like shampoo. Do I need to rinse it more?

hi jennefer you probley did not rince all the shampoo out fill the sing with cold water add about two tablespoons of bakeing soda to the water and let soak for about ten minn then rince real good the bakeing soda will nutriliz any oders

My wigs always have a slight smell of shampoo in them for a few days after washing them, But after my wife washes her hair there is a slight smell of shampoo also.
