I would say to be sure and hit "Pinks-hot dogs" and take some of the movie studio tours!

I suggest Club L, also known as the Lodge, on Lankershim in North Hollywood. Saturday nights are best, things get going between 10 and 11. I will probably be there as usual, but will have to leave early due to early Sunday non CD activity.
