Hi Girls, looking at the last posts, we've had favorite Christmas songs, movies and a few on cards. How about trees, what type is your favorite

Buying a new already wired and decorated artifical tree

Actually we have 2 trees this year. The predecorated tree was purchased for a fund raiser. Its size was not exactly commensurate with its price, but it was for charity.

Although my wife chose the aforementioned tree, she deemed it too small for presents from Santa. Because of this, we also have the old standby larger artificial tree.

In past Christmases, we've had real trees.

Well, I prefer real trees, but have used an artificial one for several years now. Just simpler, and not the same as when I could cut my own down in the woods. Today, too much red tape to fo into the forrest.

::Looking around the metroplex:: Not many trees at all here, let alone one that would make a good Christmas tree, even at the stands. So its a nice full looking fake one, oh and I also hang some lights in the trees out in front of the house just for good measure.

Is this one of those newly annointed illegal threads?

I like 'em real, thick, tall, bushy, and full of stuff.

Susan we are not talking about your playthings we are talking about trees. hehehehehehehehe

I perfer fake myself. I just hate when the dogs think they have to mark their spot on the tree. Besides cleaning up after those damn things really hurts.
Ouch!!! Ouch!!!! Ouch!!!!!

I would prefer a real tree, but am using the same artificial tree I've had for years. Real trees have just become a pain -- too many needles on the floor and thus stuck into the bottom of my everpresent bare feet. I do miss the smell of a real tree though.

we drive to my parents place

I get out the tractor - old farmall M and hook up the wagon.

load the kid up and drive them out to the small tree farm we planted years ago.

The kids pick out a nice and we cut and cart back to the house.

park the wagon and un hitch it.

park the tractor.

Load up the tree into the truck and head home after some visiting.

You know maybe we'll just go down to the corner this year. LOL thats alot of work for a tree. :D

Artificial because you are sick and tired of Choice #1

More sick and tired of cleaning up the needles and toting it to the dump. Did plant one live one in the back yard once, and it's still alive.

The one we have now already has the lights on it.

Sounds awesome, except for the potential for Farmall Arm. (for the non tractor drivers, if it is a row-crop (narrow front wheels) it can jacknife and break your elbow). We always had a real tree, but, since I have been on my own, 4 years, I do something else. Last year, Puerto Vallarta, this year, Banff. lots of trees. sufficient to satisfy me. wenda.

The family and I just picked up a pre-cut tree from a lot nearby tonight.

We had planned (wife at least) on going to a tree farm, picking one and cutting it ourselves, but, as usual time just seemed to slip by too fast and
didn't see any oppurtunities to do so soon. Hopefully next year.

Do love the smell of a fresh tree though.

Great idea, I don't have any holly but there's lots of pine trees around, And I think I'll use a vase instead.
