Jean sizes

I need help!! I am looking for low cut blue jeans and am totally baffeled by the sizing. Have tried on several pair and they are either too large or too small. What gives. HELP!!! What should I measure to get a good size or get in the ball park??

Without using a chart. I wear a size 36w and 29l trouser. I can comfortably wear a size 14 petite jean from Fashion Bug.

I'm a 32 waist (guys) - and an 11 works for me JUST right, 12 is OK.

Not everyone makes an 11 but the one pair I have fits like a glove!

I've found that low rise fits me better as my waist isn't a problem. The other thing that helps is the lycra or spandex in stretch jeans.

I wear 32x32 and have a pair of Cache jeans in a size 8 that fits.

Scottie, FYI. The size 11 is a junior size and the size 12 is a missys size. To specifically find a size 11, you must go to the junior section of the major dept stores or for mall stores, Express, Rave, Deb, Charlotte Russe, and DeLias are all specifically junior sizes. The junior sizes are cut smaller in the hips and are preportioned differently than the missys sizes.

What you need to remember is that a womans hips are generaly about 8-10 inches widerthan her waist so if your looking for low rise jeans or skirts that are worn on the hips you need to go 2-3 sizes smaller
i.e.SINGLE SIZEorder size

for example I am a 16 in a skirt or normal jeans with a 32" waist but as low rise is worn on the hips I need to buy a 12 to fit my wo-fully inadequate 36" hips hope this helps

Same here. Sometimes an 8 depending on the brand and cut. Get the stretchy ones with spandex.
