I have a beard and a moustache that im kinda "attached" to,lol.......I guess you could say it kinda "grew" on me,hehe (i crack myself up).
problem is it leaves me only feeling feminine as long as i dont look in the mirror(which takes alot of the fun out of it,IMO) as i am not overly fond of the site of myself dressed only partially femme.....
does anybody else have facial hair they just cant bring themselves to get rid of?is it getting in the way of your CD'ing?is the choice between shaving it and keeping it driving you crazy?I may just get rid of it,but was wondering what others had to say about the subject before i went and got rid of it....
(being 21 it would be another 3-4 months before it came back, hehe)

the jungle on my legs will most likely stay until i get into CD more seriously though.....

I guess basically what im asking is:
my facial hair:  or :thumbsdn:
i can post a pic if that would help in advising.......

Shave it baby...I had a beard for a long time, but after shaving, I feel like a woman:)

Besides you can grow it back...afterwards, you may not want to.

I'd say try shaving it and see how you feel about it. If you don't like being shaved you can always wait a few months for it to grow back. But if you never try shaving you'll never know.

I had a full beard for about 20 years. Finally shaved to enable me to fully dress 2 years ago. Now I am in the process of having it removed permanently. You don't have to go the permanent route, but shave it off!
It makes a world of difference to feeling really womanly when you're smooth and fully made-up!

Its just hair and it will grow back. Shave it off and let the fem side of you out. At one time I had some facial hair I did not want to part with but once it was gone I never missed it. now I just hate any facial hair or any hair on my body.

Me, too! Wore a full beard for 25 years until I decided to come out of the closet and go public. Best decision of my life!!

However, if some men just want the freedom to wear women's clothes because they are comfortable and don't particularly want to be women, then...well, de gustibus non disputandum est!! I don't understand!!

I had a jungle on my face in every configuration you can name all my life. I'm 55 now BTW. Got to thinking about it after Lily came to the fore front and realised that the hair was me feeding into what I perceived as the masculine look, and as long as I was finally giving into Lily, it had to go. Hadn't seen the kisser in years, and when I as done and looked in the mirror, what a shock! Who was that old timer in the mirror? It's been a month now and I'm getting used to looking in the mirror and Lily doesn't feel like the bearded lady at the circus anymore. Beside, all I've gotten has been compliments on how much better and younger I look!:heehee: In other words, I vote for you to shave. Love and xxxx, Lily

Just to be a wet rag
I have a beard and a mustache too
And my wife won't let me shave it off
But since I'm still in the closet and she doesn't know
I guess I can live with that

I had a beard for 24 years, a moustache for several years more. It was a good disguise, it helped me to hide my Teresa-ness, especially from myself! See what's behind the fur, you might actually like it:D

I have facial hair also, and been hesitant to remove it. I've had hair on my face since I could grow it.. I'm 51 now. so that's like 30+ years.
It's part of me.. as well as Xdressing.
So for me it boils down to what I feel inside.. I don't have to look in the mirror or take pictures to feel good or to feel.. "right".
If you're planing on going out.. it's a whole different story. I suspect that I'll never Xdress outside of my home. And that's OK with me.

I had a mustache for years when I was in denile and wanted to look macho. Now I hate to shave and going to start electrolysis in Sept.

Like a lot of the girls, I had a beard for many years. I finally got rid of it when I had a chance to actually meet and get dressed with another cd for the first time. I knew the beard just had to go then. That will be two years next February and I've never looked back. Getting rid of that thing was a huge step in the evolution of Olivia. I don't think you'll regret shaving it. Olivia

I have a goatee currently... my SO knows about my CD'ing, but until recently, I have been reluctant to 'practice' in front of her. Now that we seem to be making a little progress, I'm afraid if I shave the beard, it'll be too much, too fast for her. Anyway, you've already gotten the concensus.

You DID mention your legs though... You're in for a REAL TREAT when you take that step. I keep my legs hair-free as much as I can now (removal cream once every month or so). But the first time I shaved... OH MY!!! I couldn't keep my own hands off them, they felt so sexy and smooth. And crawling into bed at night, I hardly slept.... Still my favorite part of shaving now, but not nearly as much of a sensation now that my legs know what it's like. My advice to you in that regard, if they're as hairy as you let on, is to wait until fall, when you won't be wearing any shorts for a while. You'll feel more at ease, and can let it grow back (at least enough that no-one will suspect) by the following summer, if you decide it's not for you. Be fore-warned though... you'll fall in love with the silky smooth feeling in the shower, under the sheets, and even in your slacks/jeans during the day. Just be mindful not to shave the bumps.... OUCHIES!!!

When you shave it you will be amazed at how much easier it will be to do your makeup.

The fact that I have a beard and a moustache has nothing to do with the fact I wear women's clothes. I wear women's clothes when I want to. I maintain my beard and moustache partly because my wife likes them, partly because I'm too lazy to drag a razer over more than my armpits and partly so that nobody will guess. My wife knows and supports me in my choice of clothing.

My facial hair has become community property. I have shaved for a recent CD event and my wife is ok with my shaving for them in the future. This is still new to her. In the past while still in denial, I think my beard was the breaks on my gender confusion. I have been bearded most of my adult life and hate shaving. And even though I am a man in a dress, when I was shaven and fully made up, I felt so complete and calm, the change back from girl to boy was so bittersweet.

My avitar says a little about this,if I may borrow from my earlier post, its me on the inside being me on the outside. I may always look like a man but on the inside I am always me and that me is sometimes feminine. That smile on my face isn't a 'say cheese' smile, its the real deal.

The next time you get a hair cut might be a good opportunity to shave off the facial hair. It would be like getting a male make over. Most people who know me tell me how refeshed I look when I'm all clean cut. Little do they know the facial hair came off so Rachel can come out.

Well I had a stash for 33 years and it never bothered me to dress up....well until 3 years ago when something clicked and my "hobby" kicked into high gear!! Hehehe. Off went the facial hair, leg hair...all hair!! Wife wondered why I shaved it off!! "Time for a change"!! I said. And what a change it was! She had no clue either....well up until the tile she found out and now I think she knows why I shaved!!

So its really up to you! And where you want to take this.. Hey if your happy and you like being fuzzy, keep the hair..else loose it and come on out!! :). The waters fine!!!!!! Everyone in the Pool!!!!! :D

Love Karren

Hate having to shave my face every day, especially after having been in the Navy. Haven't shaved since Independence Day, 1971 (except for one job that lasted three months). Hasn't gotten in the way of wearing dresses. (But not shaving the lags does get in the way of wearing hose.)

I have a gotee. I like to wear it because it looks masculine for the GG's. But recently my feminine side is coming out more and more, so I am going to shave it off.
Some things I hate about facial hair is the up-keep of it. Being clean shaved seems so much easier.

Shave it babes and being only 21 years old I know you will look lovely especially when you get more practice in or a professional makeover.
Good luck sister,

Melanie :hugs:

Since your facial hair will grow back, your choice is not irreversible. Same for your leg hair. So, I say, shave it all. I'll bet you don't grow it back.

I have facial that i have gotten rid of fairly recently, but let it grow back. It's not that i can't bear to get rid of it.I can't shave my body hair and I guess I've always figured that if I can't get rid of that,I might as well save myself some nicks on my face. But if I could get away with shaving the rest of my body, the mustache and goatee would go too.

...that's the first thing I did when I got more serious about dressing. I had a full beard (all the way down my neck) that I kept short. it looked really good but it had to go. Also, all the rest of my body hair except legs. Legs are more difficult as I live in Florida and we wear short pants almost all year-round. Still, I might have to take up swimming or bicycling, or get some other excuse to shave them. I love being smooth. It increases the look of muscular definition too (that's why body builders do it).

I've a full beard which is my compromise to my wife. Would love to shave it off, however.

I too have a full beard. My SO of 27 years has never seen me without it. I would love to shave it off (but would hate the shaving) but she is against it. She does not know about my dressing.

I get the chance to dress a lot but the beard keeps me from coming out. I just have to be satisfied with keeping my face out of the mirror, using my imagination.
