Hi Yall I just literally "stumbled" ( it's a Firefox add-on,) across this travel article that describes a culture, tucked away in Mexico, where gender bending is admired and respected. For those of you who could get there, it would be wonderful to get first hand reports. I'm sure some of you Jet-setting Sisters are wondering where you can holiday and play in peace. Just watch your purses, eh?

Juchitán's closest airport is Salina Cruz; Aeromar flies there from Mexico City.

Hi Ellaine,

Thanks for that link, really interesting article.

It mentions that acceptance of gender and sexual variant people is an old tradition dating back to the Zapotec culture, seems that quite a few of the old American cultures were quite advanced in that regard, modern society could learn a lot from them.
