I'm slow in "coming out" - but still need to know. What would be my ideal weight when I dress? I'm 6'2" (can't do anything about that) - but I certainly don't want to be any bigger than I need to be. Any thoughts?

Hi Donna, and welcome. I'm 6'1" and wear size 14. But you know what? Look around, everyone is different. I've seen GGs who are bigger than me in all ways:eek: . We are who we are. If you want to lose weight, fine, if you want to put on wieght, fine, if you want to stay the same, fine. See where I'm going with this? My tag line at the bottom sums it up for me. Love and xxxx, Lily

Dunno. I am 6'3" and 180lbs. I suppose I could conceivably whittle another 7lbs off the figure, but much more than that and I would have to start amputating things.

That said this is a very subjective, body by body, inquiry. Many women of our height could carry many more pounds and still have a beautiful form - especially a bit more fat around the shoulder line or on the legs. Indeed, it would be worth adding a couple inches on the belly to get a more feminine depositing of fat on the arms and legs (assuming that your main priority in life was to look as femme as possible).

When I was significantly heavier (210 lbs) I still basically looked the same en femme EXCEPT that the little bit of added fat was quite unbecoming to my (already limited jawline). Upshot: there really is no "right weight" for everyone!

Is what you are confortable with, and what looks good on you. We girls get so hung up on weight sometimes, it becomes unhealthy. I am 6'2 215, and I would like to be 190. But you have to consider your body type, and structure your weight around that. There are some good websites outthere that can help you with a healthy diet exersise program to feminize your body, so eat, drink and workout. Sorry for the ramble, but tis late and this old man needs to tumble home to bed.
Hope this helps

I've always heard if you have a medium skeletal frame you give yourself 100 lbs for the first five foot, then 5 lbs for each inch over that.

So, someone 5'9" would have an ideal weight of 145, if he/she has a medium frame.

I don't agree with this, as my ideal weight would be 125. I've been 125 recently and I looked downright anorexic, and I'm told I have a medium frame.
I literally has to exist on rabbit food to maintain that weight. (sorry Sarah) :D

So, I agree with whoever said your perfect weight is what YOU feel comfy with and are able to maintain with a reasonable caloric intake.

Too many variables, fat weighs less than muscle does, so if you work out a lot your actual weight my be greater, while you look a lot better than the blob next to you who thinks exercise is walking to the car and back.

What would be my ideal weight when I dress?

Hi Donna,

Here's a site that will give you a general idea of what your ideal weight is, and also includes how to figure your frame size too. http://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/primry/life15.htm

I'm 6'3" and about 360 (and shrinking) I'm aiming for 200, would settle for 225 and might get down to 240. Just one pound at a time.

That would put my ideal weight at 115! That is not likely to happen any time soon...

It does depend on alot of factors. I'm 6' but have a slim build so I am able to be around 150 lbs and look alright. I dieted down from about 180. My wife asks that I don't get any lighter as she thinks my arms are a little thin.

You have to look at your whole appearance and see what looks good. Sometimes when you lose weight, it comes off areas that you don't want slimmer. Then the only alternative is exercise to tighten any areas that need to be smaller or slimmer.

Good luck!

We're all unique, i have never understood this preocupation with "weight"...

yes i've lost about 80lbs in the last 18 months, and losing more is my aim, but why not be happy?

Life would be pretty boring if we were all "average" wouldn't it?

The same as your ideal weight when you don't dress. I know there's a tendency to want to slim way down and even get shorter if it was possible. But we have to work within the safe limits of the bodies we have, not the bodies we wish we had. {Borg voice}Weight is irrelevant. Height is irrelevant.{end Borg voice} You can create the illusion from whatever you are.

I apologize if that's not what you meant.

Well there are two components here, unless your going to dress 24/7. Looking good as a chick is great and fun but if it makes your male self look like crap, why do it? I mean you still have to live in both worlds and if you dress say 10% of the time and look hot, the other 90% of the time you could look like a sickling!! Hehehe.

And this is from experience. I'm 5ft 9" (don't hate me for that reason alone. Lol) and when I drop below 170 lbs Karren still looks great but anti-Karren looks like shit!! Just ask my wife. She actually made me stop loosing weight!! So just beware, you can't be too rich but being too thin could end up killing you!!

Love Karren

For all the feedback. I'll have to be my own judge about what looks good on me. I'd rather look better dressed en femme anyway, since I may want to stay that way.

Bone structure is the key, I'm 6'1 (Shrinking slightly) and weigh 168....
I've lost weight in some places and gained it on my thighs and breasts, it's still the same weight as when I was 18....

Whatever's comfortable for you, healthy, and gives you self-satisfaction that you look the way you wish to look. :)

I'm 6'2 and now around 280 (Used to be around 340). I am aiming for 180, maybe 200. The main things I did was cut eating between meals, cut out chocolate (The hardest, but perhaps most rewarding part), cut out junk food, and cut portions (just a bit). I can't say I follow any written diet or weight watchers or anything, but I just do what common sense dictates. Less suger = less weight.

Donnadcd your profile says you are 46yrs old, you would think at that age you would know your body type and ideal weight.

I am also 6-2 and about 195. Am trying to lose a pound or two around the gut. When I played football I did some serious weight lifting and never bulked-up like the rest of the guys. Was as strong an any of em but always had a wirey build. At the time I wanted to be bigger but now as Brenda the arms and legs look good! Being tall is nice except, of course, I'm 6-6 or 6-7 in heels.:tongueout
