View Full Version : I Hate Myself Like This!

This week I'm going to Wisconsin for a big reunion en famille, and because I can't bear the thought of answering questions from three generations of clueless relatives about my hairless arms and legs, I've let my fur grow back:eek:and I just hate myself this way! After spending most of my free time this summer in sundresses, I miss the way it looks and feels to wear cute clothes that show off a little skin, and the thought of old man winter around the corner has me profoundly depressed, even though it's much easier to dress for the cold weather....ugh!

As long as it's time limited, I'm sure you'll be able to "bare" it.

That's exactly how I feel: like a Momma bear in a dress! Or like one of those guys in the commercial who put on dresses to get free burgers on ladies' night....

I posted this in another thread, but I think it worth restating here
Ladies, good news, even as men we can now be hairless without being bothered what others think. Here in the UK, and I'm sure it will be the same every where, you can now buy hair removel products designed for men. They are even designed to cope with tougher male hair.
No it is not a spoof, check it out for your selfs. This link is to a major UK high street chemists (drug store) call Boots. http://www.boots.com/shop/category_new_template_content_rich.jsp?classificat ionid=1035665
.
I for one will try it, and compare it with normal Veet for ladies. I'll let you all know how it performs

Why do you even friggin care what the relatives think!
If it were me, then again, I don't like my family; I'd let them think the worst and walk around like I didn't have a care in the world. But that's me.

During the summer when my pool is open, I have to leave the armpit hair as normal as possible. But in the winter time its usually clean shaven. It looks neater with all my feminine tops, tanks, blouses, etc

I've been shaved down all summer, and it hasn't caused me any problems, then again I live in a cosmopolitan city and the people I see every day are totally cool with it...however, this reunion will be enough of a trial without having to subject myself to brats shouting out "He shaved his legs!"

WindyCissy,
Do you really think that they will notice? I mean really, who would even comment on the state of your hair or hairless state? Unless this is your direct closest family they really will not care. You can always say that you have taken up bicycle racing and have to shave because of the crashes. Good luck hon; remember that you are always you.
Hugs and Kisses,
Josie

Oh, they'd notice all right...this is a pretty tough crowd. Isn't it funny: I have no qualms about dressing in public as a woman, do it all the time, but I can't handle that kind of scrutiny.

I have been fully shaved now for over 2 years and will never let the hair grow back again. It feels so good to be free of that ugly hair.
I work in an environment in the summer where I wear t-shirts most of the time, and thought i would get some sarcastic comments from some of the people i work with, and so far not a word has been spoken.
I too, honestly think, that with the changing of the times, no one really cares if we have hair on arms, legs, etc, or if they do they just do not say anything.
Hope things go well for you on your visit

Now, with people around age 20-25, the 'metrosexual' trend is in. They generally spend as much time on their hair as women (if not more) and shave all their body hair as well. Generally accepted, but usually thought of as gay. Still accepted though, and nobody really says anything.

Well I have a simular promblem. I what to shave my legs so they will look better when I wear a skirt. But If I got caught I would not know what to say to defend my self.

If you are going to shave your legs, you may as well shave everything else. If anyone asks, like I said earlier, just say you swim alot.

I know what your going through Wendycissy. I too place more importance on what my family thinks of me then anyone else. Here is a suggestion that may help - simply wear trousers (pants) and a long sleeved shirt. Dependent on the heat though, this may not be an option.
Either way - good luck!

I also kinda want to shave my body hair, however I am still very overweight, and in my opinion, hairless doesn't look good on really overweight people, so I am waiting until I lose more weight to shave.

That's a great suggestion, but we'll be outdoors at the lake, and I'd stand out more if I covered up. Now that my fur has grown back, I may as well just live with it until the reunion is over with....but after reading all your words of encouragement, I think from now on I'll just keep it off!

Hi Windy, If all this stuff about the family reunion is getting you down so much why put yourself through it? DON'T GO!!!! Tell them that a story you are working on needs your undivided attention.

I'm really not keen on body hair on either sex to be honest... It detracts from the art of the human form. :)

There are a lot of hairy women, Windy. I think my daughter has more hair on her arms than I do. I may let mine grow just for the hell of it. Another challenge against stereotypes. Anyway, if I don't shave every other day, I look like King (or Queen) Kong, so I know how you feel. Ericka

Queen Kong, I love that! Like most GG's, I have all sorts of tricks I use in the winter to get by without shaving....like wearing a lot of long sweaters and pants or skirts with dark opaque tights, but even then I have to nip the fur off the backs of my hands or I look like Queen Kong all right!
Summer is almost gone and i can wear long pants to work , that means i can shave my legs again . all summer i've been dying with this nasty hair on my legs i hate it so much but working outside i'd die from the heat without shorts so i take the hair instead of the harassment , wow if they only new i shave genitals and chest , can't be seen. hang in there it will be over before you know it. You don't really need an excuse to shave anymore. I have a friend who just hates his body hair, so he nair's it all off (even genitals apparently. Ouch). Plus, alot of women prefer trimmed, or no body hair (At least my generation) on men.

If you need to “pass” or an explanation for others why you shave, a way through this is to take up a sport where shaving is the norm. I.E., Bicycling or swimming. Also, being smooth as a man has become fashionable in more egalitarian cities. Look at Hollywood movies today, you are not seeing the Sean Connery chest thatch a la “Thunderball”.

Wow, I always thought cyclists shaved down to be more streamlined, but I did a web search and you're 100% correct: the chance of infection from a scrape is much higher with all that nasty hair, especially since they have to get back up and ride without first aid sometimes....yet another example of how crossdressing can be good for you!
