I can't wait. I'm going out with a girlfriend of mine, and I said I didn't know what I wanted to be.(Of course the whole time I wanted to dress like a girl) I started naming things to be when I said girl, she started cracking up. So I said fine I'll be that, but you'll have to help me. She agreed to do it. It's going to be great.

Does she get to pick your wardrobe? Now THAT could be a blast and perhaps ease her into your little secret. Just a thought.

I love halloween, but I have never gone as a girl. Last halloween a friend of mine went shopping with me for halloween costumes (I was going to make one and was looking for materials), and she said jokingly "You should wear this" And she was holding up a toothfairy costume. It was basically a leotard, tights, a tutu, wings, and a tiara. I was like "Sorry, but I value my dignity very highly." its true. Then she said "I'll even buy it for you." I looked at the price-tag, and it was 50$. I was seriously thinking about it. Then she said she would even pay me 50$ on top of it to wear it. I was now seriously considering it, and willing to put my dignity on the line. However, she added "But you have to wear it to work."
While I would have done it, I booked halloween off work last year. That, and I had already started working on my costume, so I would have wasted a bunch of money on it.

You might as well go all out and start picking your outfit out now. It is a night when you can be anything from a French Maid to a Southern Belle. Those are my favorites but maybe even a bride. I think you both will have a night to remember.

I work in a tourist town with alot of colonial re-enacting going on. Matter of fact that's what my day job is. I have halloween off this year, and a good friend is going to dress, but I'm going to dress as a colonial woman. Still have some of my wife's gear from when she was re-enacting. Gonna be a blast! Love and xxxx, Lily
I've been thinking about it...
I'm actually planning to come out as a transsexual throughout the year... So if I'm not dressing out en-femme full-time by then (fair chance I won't yet be), it's something I could do. But I don't know if I'd want to go for the ordinary girl look, or for my schoolgirl outfit... I would probably go with a typical girl look.

Dressing like a girl is a given (I guess). The question is, what KIND of girl? Should I wear my action outfit or go really crazy and be some sort of alien gal? Ericka

If you can urge your girlfreind in the direction of trying your best to pass as just an everyday girl instead of a costume it could be a lot of fun. You could even get an extra day out of the deal by telling her you want to see what you will look like before you commit to being out like that and to give you time to choose another outfit. Spend an evening dressing and trying different outfits and getting her opinion then if all looks good and you feel she is open to if you could suggest, Lets leave the house and see if anyone notices me. Who knows how far that might go. If it goes smooth and nobody pays you a lot of attention and depending on how far you want to push it you might make an innocent comment like "I'm hungry, want to get something to eat"

When I was 11, my mother dressed me as a girl for a school haloween party. I went as cinderella. It was quite a day for me, both being enthralled with being a girl, and embaressed at the same time after I was, of course, outed and made fun of by the rest of my class.
It ws oine of those pivotal moments, which shape the rest of your life. At least, it was for me
Whew! Pamela....I love how you think!!
I am also going out dressed as a girl......for halloween. The question is what outfit and I have been looking. I have found some pixies that were cute...but I don't know.
We have a party to go to that awards prises for the best costume or most realistic. last year a guy, dressed as a female Indian lady won first prize.... I think if maybe I place the emphasis on they type rather than the sex, maybe I can enjoy both and try to make it as realistic as possible....??? Hummmm....:heehee:

I can't wait to go shopping with her. It's going to be fun to see what she puts me in. I really hope it's a nice skirt, blouse, black pantyhose, and heels. I also hope to get a dark haired wig, when I dressed back in '04 I bought a blonde one, but I think I look better as a brunette.

I am dressing as a girl for halloween for sure. I already "came out" to my mom anyway. So, she knows that i wear womens clothes. But this would be the first time wearing something "feminine" like that because up until this point I have just being wearing womens jeans and tennis shoes. I still plan on wearing the tennis shoes but I want to get a nice, casual sort of dress. It should be quite fun for halloween this year. :p
I'll be dressing again this year as a female , bought a french maid costume just for it. wife even helped me pick out a real nice one . Peg :hugs:

Been out dressed enfem for many Halloweens, one year was a school girl, batgirl, and the funniest year myself and 3 other friends got dressed as bud girls. Years ago they had a ad where advertised ladies drinks half price so we dressed up in house dresses with five o'clock shadows, Hairy legs, wigs and lipstick, we were the 4 ugliest women there at the party but I had the most fun every semi dressed.
This Halloween I might dress like a hooker......can't do that again did that last Friday Night:devil:

As some of you have read, Halloween last year was my "coming out" party (to the wife anyway). It has led to wearing panties daily, shaved legs and arms, painted toes, along with a whole new wardrobe. I cant be happier to finally be comfortable getting to express something I have repressed for many years. I so want to go dressed in some female outfit this year, I am extremely fearful of what the group I hang out with will say. Last year they all thought it was a hoot, but two years in a row might be a little over the top. Besides, now that the wife is accepting and likes to raz me as much as I raz her I'm afraid that she will somehow mention my true self. It is a worry, but the first year was absolutley without a shadow of a doubt an open door that I blasted through!!!!!!

Natasha, I have the same concern as far as going as a girl on back to back halloweens. While I had a blast this past year going out dressed en femme on two different days, a Friday evening (she-devil to a party and GLBT club) and on the following Monday at work (just dressed as a regular girl). I am hesitant to do it again. Might the people at work start wondering?
Part of me thinks, who cares if they start wondering. So I dress as a girl at work once a year. Big deal. But then another part of me has always worried about what other people think.
I really want to do it again this year, but I'll have to think long and hard about it.

I went to this Halloween parade a couple of years ago, and it was AMAZING! Never before have a seen a person dressed as a giant tampon! I seriously recommend the event to anyone who can get there. Trying to drive away after with 100's of drunken CD'ers in the road is a bit tricky though!

I am doing Cruella De Vil as a drag queen! I am doing a photo shoot with Amanda Richards at, http://www.truecolorsmakeup.com/ on Sep 3 to perfect the look. I will be posting pictures from this in the Picture Gallery. I have bought a black and white zebra gown from Sequin Queen. Have a huge 1/2 black, 1/2 white large wig from Hollywood Toy and Costume. Already had a custom made dalmatian print swing coat. If there are any gurlz interested in joining me in the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade, please contact me privately. if I can I plan on dressing en femm this halloween.. I had a nurse costume a couple years ago.. not sure what this halloween.. It is sometimes cold up here on halloween so its diffcult to choose sometimes. There is a bar/nightclub whatever you want to call it not far from here that has drag shows once every couple of weeks or something like that.. They have a costume contest every year. The top prize last year was $1000. I wanted to go last year but the contest didnt start untill 1 a.m..

Been thinking about this and reading all the posts. On Halloween, you are supposed to dress as a surprising character or something. I'm a woman every day, so nothing surprising about that. I could dress as a guy as Ericka, but been there, done that--nothing new either. Most of you know me. Any suggestions on what this crazy wacko could dress as? Got me befuddled. :heehee: Ericka Kay

Yeah, went out a few years back. Shaved legs, seamed hose, stiletto heels. The works
Looked too good. Not in that fashion, just like I had, had way too much practice or something and "where did you find those shoes!?!?!?" Kind of questions you know? Totally F***** up my self image to others for a while. But we all got drunk later that night and it wasn't really a problem after that. I should have "Camped" it up more. I think the shaved legs gave me away! But I won't do that again. Maybe a Pirate next time.

I want to play an online game coming up called pirates of the burning sea. Figure that outfit would be great for my avator at the game since I want to play as a chick. So I will take care of two things at once!

Why just be simply "A girl" for halloween? its more fun and imaginative to be a female "Halloween character" --such as a "sexy witch", "Bride of frankenstien" or movie star (M Monroe for example) than a version (albiet tg) of an ordinary person.
My first time out(and only so far) as a female was as a Gypsy fortune teller (halloween 2004) it was great I really didnt have to "pass" although I did look quite good, with my long black hair, red fingernails and exotic makeup.
My long dress and shawl, hid a variety of figure flaws so I looked like the real thing.
I was a big hit with the ladies at our Adult sunday school class party that we held in the near by woods. They ALL wanted me to read their fortunes---
I won the costume competition BTW. I dont think I would have been nearly the hit I was If I came just dressed as "a girl"---the gypsy thing took the TG "edge" off of things and made my costume more "tounge in cheek"---so no one suspected I might be a bit "funny"(if you get my drift)---all giving me the extra edge in bravery to actually go OUT in public (I'm usually a very private CD). I also got to go over the top in makeup---false eyelashes and everything which made my costume all the better.
I went as Mark Twain Last year though, as it might look a bit too suspicious to go as a female 2 years in a row.--I dont know what I'm doing THIS year though. It looks like MR HYDE right now----unless I can think of something else

I am going to be dressing up on halloween, because one of my friends is having a party that night, and we have class during the day, so we are trying to get as many people to dress up as possible.
Then I am likely dressing up the weekend before or after as one of my other friends is likely going to have a party.
I am not going en femme this year, but I don't really know what I am going as yet. We are trying to get a group of us to go as lemmings, and if that doesn't work I think I'm going as a fallen angel, in which case I will at least be wearing some make-up.

I believe CD's may be stuck in Halloween mode:rofl:
Here is my take on Halloween. I think too many of us girls maybe don't really know what we want. On one hand, we want the world to accept us as we are, cross dressers, transexuals, etc. On the other, as soon as Halloween comes around, we compromise exactly what we are all about and go strutting our panties with the ten year olds. I just don't get it. I'm probably a scruge, like the one in the Christmas tale. Halloween is the evening where I think we should not be out and about. If we want change in this culture, it has to happen in broad daylight, in the coffee bars, on the streets of our cities, among our friends and not as a lame excuse, I'm sorry, I just don't buy that.
Still love you all

I probably told this story on this board once before but I don't mind repeating it. It always brings a smile to my face when I think back to the halloween when I went all out as Miss America. I mean all out, tiara, sash, the works.
My girlfriend at the time (now my wife) was completely OK with me dressing but way super nervous (uptight) about anyone else seeing me. Dressing up was strictly in private. A few times we were invited to halloween parties that I would love to have gone to dressed but she always worried about what people might think so I would go as a cowboy or something.
Then one year we took a vacation to Key Largo that happened to coincide with halloween. I was able to convince her that it would be OK - no one we knew would be there. She was still nervous, but she agreed that it would be alright.
I didn't waste the opportunity. I shaved all over (first time ever), wore the sexiest underwear, corset, tight sparkly red dress, high heeled sandals, long fake nails, the aforementioned tiara and sash; I was decked out.
We drove down to Islamorada (I think) where there was a beach front bar having a halloween party. I know I fooled at least a few people, and I got some really funny double-takes from people when they heard me speak - all part of the fun.
Regina, have the time of your life. Create a great memory for yourself and share it with the rest of us.

Sejd has a really good point.
It would be nice if we could go out anytime, not just for a joke.
Although, a couple of years back, I waited to long to find a costume and went Walmart to see what was left.
No kidding, all that was left was a maid outfit!
But I chickened out. One of those small regrets in life.
Ended up going to the bar with friends from work, it would have been a riot!
This year... not sure. Probably just hang out, watch LOTR and hand out candy.

A friend of mine had a really great halloween costume a few years back. Casual skirt and blouse, nice breastforms, brown tights, flat shoes, painted fingernails. And here's what made the costume: a really outrageously realistic Tyrranosaurus Rex mask with great big teeth and eyeholes where her (his?) eyes were, so it looked like the dinosaur was looking around. And also, she never spoke all night. Everyone spent the whole evening trying to figure out who the girl in the dino mask was. The girl-clothes were so plain and ordinary it never occurred to anyone that they were the REAL costume!

For me Halloween is great - I've developed a fortune teller persona including reading tarot cards (sort of). My costume is all girl and its a blast. Most people quickly figure me out although I use a soft Russian accent which is passable. Of course, I'm no beauty but I don't care. I'm wearing my all in one and stockings, heels, a slip and a dress with all the trimmings. I love my character and she will be out only 26 days from now! Have fun everyone

Thank you for the words of encouragement.

haha ... oh my goodness ... i remember i used this same ploy on halloween as an opportunity to dress up, gosh it's fun ... and there's no judgemental stares, weird looks, or anyone hassling you ... enjoy it, have fun, and perhaps adopt a female persona to go along with your costume ... you'll look wonderful ... adios
