I just started wearing stockings when I was about 9 - 10 years old, and it just grew from there. Since my wife died I wear pantyhose as often as I can. I just love the feeling ! :love:

In England we call them tights.
I first started to wear them under trousers when riding my motorcycle
on very cold days.
But for proper feminine feelings stocking and suspenders(garters)are
the garments of choice.

I can't even remember how long ago ... I must have been 4 or 5 and would wear my sister's ballet tights. Eventually, I worked my way up to pantyhose and other femme garb with the exception of panties and bras. I can't recall a time when I did not want to wear female attire, especially hosiery and heels or boots. I took me until I was in my 30s to purchase my first pair of high heel shoes and real skirts and dresses.

When I was a little kid (boy/girl?) my mother wore stockings held up by a
girdle, so that is what I started with. Later when she switched to pantyhose so did I. Unlike most, I prefer pantyhose. I like the tight snug feel and the silkiness all the way up my legs.

in my early days of CDing, I wore my mom's pantyhose all the time, but being careful not to cause a run in them.

Eventually, I got too big for my mom's pair of pantyhose and decided to buy my own pair. I first bought pantyhose, but there is something about pantyhose and me that just doesn't mix, I kept ruining a pair of pantyhose very quickly. I eventually stopped buying pantyhose and bought tights instead. Not as glamourous as pantyhose but alot more durable.:D

Borrowed a pair from a girlfriend in High School. Must have been 1968 or 69. She never go them back. Hehehe. But since I've started dressing seriously again, I've grown to love thigh highs over panty hose!!

From the time I'd see mom getting ready for work in the morning in her undies I wanted 'em.

Just be honest, avoid all pretense.

There was a fascination/infatuation with L'eggs (there was something about that lil' egg they came in can't put my finger on it), then "Underalls" which were popular in the mid-70s, panties and hose -in- one.

The thing is, we know alot more about pantyhose that the average lady, who could care less about 'em. I've gone thru phases where I've worn all sorts of them. Nononsense, the aforementioned L'eggs (Sheer Energy and Sheer Comfort, Smooth Silouettes, but I find they run easily), Hanes, Legacy, Berkshire, Hue, Calvin Klein, Round-the-Clock.

That day in 5th grade is clear as a bell. My teacher came walking past the desk, I took one look at her legs and I swear it was like someone flipped a switch to 'on' in my head, and it has been on ever since!!

I wear a gang of tights too, which is mostly where I have been the last few years. Companies are reallly making some super nice tights nowadays too.

. But recently have discovered the joys of going hose-less. With a good shave I am starting to enjoy that even more than the hosiery.

So it just seemed natural to me to wear them too.

I rememer my mon always wore JC Penny's Total Support hose.

They were so thick, strong, and hugged my legs so wonderfully...

I put on my first pair of pantyhose in November of 1969 - I remember it as if it were yesterday! Prior to that it had to be nylons with a girdle or sometimes a garter belt. I found pantyhose to be much more convenient - been wearing them ever since. I also enjoy thigh highs at certain times.....

For me its pantyhose for a number of reasons, firstly it helps "the boys" stay where they should be, second it gives a smooth line from waist to toes and last but not least they feel really sexy when my legs are shaved. I also wear them under my slacks, jeans but not under shorts.

I started wearing thigh-hi's that were like heavy tights. I started for the swelling of my lowere legs. When it got warmer in the spring and I was wearing under pants, I switched to pantyhose to be cooler and then I started wearing them with shorts in the summer. When I finally found sheer thigh-hi's that were durable, I started wearing them in the summer under everything. Then I found panties and worn them 24/7, that started after the prostate removal and I have incontinence, and had to wear a pad, 24/7. Now I am always wearing panties and panthose or thigh-hi's. I like the feel and look of hose on my legs. I wear men's thigh-hi's from Confilon because the legs are longer and they come all the way into the crouch.

I guess my dressing started with hose and panties.

I remember wanting to wear tights maybe as early as before I started kindergarten.A few years later it was pantyhose.I didn't actually try them till I was about 14,and the first time it was nylon knee -hi's,but I quickly graduated to pantyhose.Through out my teen years I wore mostly just pantyhose,but occasionally when time permitted I'd wear a pair of my sister's heels with them.When I went in the service I read about other crossdressers,and for the first time I realized I wanted to wear more than just heels and hose,although I didn't get fully dressed until I was in my early 20's.Ever since then I've loved all of it - dresses,blouses skirts,panties,bras,makeup etc,but my favorites always have been and always will be pantyhose and heels!!!

I found my sister's very first pair hanging on the towel rod in the shower dried out after being washed. Had tried on her tights before so slipped into her one and only pair of pantyhose. When I took them off, they were all stretched out and I was petrified. Fortunately was able to rinse them out again in warm water and they regained their shape enough so she did not notice. And my love for wearing pantyhose continued from there.

I would say i have the typical story. I was around 10-11 tried on my moms pantyhose and fell in love! i been wearing them ever since, but i have only been fully trying to transition in these last 3 years. Another thing i think is odd is how much mem love hosiery. Personally i think it is a big turn on for a women to wear any type of hosiery. On the other side of that find me a women that shares the same passion for hosiery as we do. I am willing to bet the more men love them than what women do.

My fascination started out with thigh-highs at a young age. I thought they were so sexy. I found a pair in the laundry room and tried them on. They felt wonderful on my legs!

But now, its all about pantyhose, although I still do enjoy the thigh highs from time to time.

My love for pantyhose though didn't start until about five or six years ago when my g/f at the time was wearing them. I watched her get dressed, and something inside of me just wanted so bad right there and then to try on a pair. Frankly, I don't remember when I first tried pantyhose. I do remember the first experience with 'em wasn't good, because the waist band would not come up far enough and would roll down, very annoying.
After a lot of trial and error with my X's pantyhose, I found a pair that fit and stayed up. I then knew which type and size to get.
I now do all 3, pantyhose, garter stockings and thigh highs. Each has it's place. To me, all 3 are very sensual.

I HATE the bare look popularized by Hollywood stars and fashionistas. It is af is pantyhose and other female hosiery is disappearing from the fashion magazines. Recently however, I am seeing opaque tights showing up in ads and certain catalogs, but that might be seasonal.

First buy 2 pair that are 3-5 sizes to large for you. then using a pair of scissors. take a pair and cut the crotch out and exra for your head to fit thru. then cut finger holes in the foot end of each leg. this pair is now your top. the second pair i usually cut a small hole in the crotch for my equipment to go thru. and there y have it a 2 piece body stocking. That makes your entire body feel as good as your legs do in a pair of hose.:happy:

In fact, I remember falling asleep on my feet while I was wearing them and then I think I took them off and put them under my bed before I got in bed and napped. I love pantyhose. Pantyhose were my first introduction to dressing too. I remember sneaking into mom's pantyhose drawer when I was 8 or 9 years old and sliding into some pantyhose. I even put on a little fashion show for my younger brother and sister, wearing panthose, heels and a nightgown of my mother's.

I remember a few years later, running a pair of her hose and freaking out, thinking she would just know I was wearing her pantyhose. I walked to a local discount store and bought her a new pair of legg's pantyhose to replace the ones I ruined.

No matter how much tension you put on garters and nylon stockings, two things are absent. Garter grips fail to make red marks on your skin. The cutting and discomfort on the inner thigh is totally absent.:heehee:

Dressed this way, Imma has even managed to stay in an Playtex, 18 Hour, High Waisted, Long Leg Panty Girdle for eighteen hours non stop!:o

I remember being 5 or 6 and trying on my mother's stockings. Then there was a time or two at a friend's house with his mom's stockings and then the babysitter's stockings at her house (she was very pretty). Like many here, curiosity got the better of me and that was all it took.

Fast forward to 2004. Wife was out of town, there was a pair or two of pantyhose in the trashcan in the bathroom. Curiosity again.

I ABSOLUTELY love the way hose feel. Now it's thigh highs under my drabs everyday with the wife's consent. She is still having a time understanding why I like them. The best I can tell her is that I like the way they feel when I walk, when I sit, whenever.

I bought a pair of ribbed opaque school tights when I was about 15 - they were dark blue and I loved them. As I have gotten older I have graduated into "natural" coloured pantyhose that I wear with shorts in the car as I drive, and opaques that I wear to work under trousers - usually with no socks. The first thing I tried on was a cousins two piece bathing suit when I was around 4. I then recal wen I was 5 or 6 stoking my Mothers hose covered legs as she talked to my Father. I loved the oh so soft feel and he shiny look.

Instead of stumbling on a pair on a rack or in a trash can, I opened every drawer in my Parents room till I found a pair of navy pantyhose. I hid them away and would put them on after coming home from school.

This is what started my forray into wearing pantyhose.

I've had the following, some good, some bad.

Leggs: every day favorite
Hanes Silk Reflections: good but done wear long and don't usually fit me well.
Falke Seidenglatt 70 tights: love these, fit welll, long wearing
Wolford Neon 40: Love these, great shin, great fit and wear
Wolford Fatal 15: Good fit and feel, but very sheer so won't stand up to time.
Wolford Fatal 40: Good again, good wear and fit.
Wolford Stay Hip: Wow...fun.
Victoria Secrets: Fatals...very light, good feel but not good on wear.

I know I'm missing some but you get the idea.
