Hi Girls,
I'm just curious as to what kind of reactions you have received from your doctor when he or she see your clean shaven legs or more. I've done a lot but not yet have had that experience and am just wondering. Also do you think female doctors are more receptive to us?
Thankyou,
Lauren

I shave my legs and chest. If he notices, he has never said anything. If I were to get a new doctor, I would look seriously for a woman doctor. She would have smaller hands for the prostate exam.

I told my Doctor long ago I was a crossdresser. He has no problem with it and only cares about my health. Ericka Kay

Lauren,
i don't think doctor's nowadays would give a second thought to a man with shaven legs...men do it all the time nowadays, either for looks or sports or all sorts of things. so he may not even notice really.

My GP is a female doctor and she has seen most of my completely shaved body close up and has never said a single thing.

I had a vasectomy last year and when I went for my consultation I was examined by a male doctor. When I pulled down my jeans and panties together to my kness and he started to examine me he looked down into my jeans and got a good look at my panties...he never said a word, he didn't even acknowldge that he was looking, yet I know he did because I saw his eyes move. Don't worry about a thing, doctors don't care about it.

No negative reaction, even on eye-makeup, so far. (If, I'd change the doctor)
If I am not directly asked, I see no need to mention that I am considered a CD. Can't imagine a disease's therapy that would be effected by it (except maybe skin problems).

Sheese, we are talking about doctors after all. I am sure (unless they are very inexperenced or have been practicesing in a very small comunuty) they have seen it all.

Shaven legs and panties on a guy are probably some of the more tame things in their day.

I had one ask once if I shaved my legs. He said nothing when I said yes. Still don't know why he asked. I suppose just curiosity. He was oriental. Perhaps he's too conscience about his own hairlessness living amongst a very hairy society.

Since then I've never been asked but perhaps that's because I avoid doctors at all costs.

On a visit to my dermatologist with my wife with me during the examination, he looked at my fingers and reminded me that I forgot to take off all the fingernail polish. No further words.

I have been totally shaved now for 2 or 3 years.

Last Feb I had to have a medical procedure that required shaving.
When the nurse went to shave where required, her only comment was, you are already shaved, I will not have to do it. Other than that comment she had no reaction at all.

As previously mentioned, both the doctors and nurses have seen us totally shaved before, that nothing they see will surprise them.

I just had my annual checkup with my dermatologist (a man). I have the annual check due to a skin cancer scare a couple of years ago. My legs, arms, armpits, and chest are shaved clean. To get the checkup, I had to totally strip naked, except for socks, and he checked out every part of my body. No comment about the shaved areas. His only concern was were there any skin areas that were of concern. That is what I pay him for.

I had a physical recently, and neither the nurse who did an EKG nor the doctor had any reaction. I wouldn't worry about it!

I have been many times to doctors, hospitals, and in for testing and have never had anyone say a thing to me. They have seen it all before and they just want to do their job.

Just had a male nurse come to my place for an insurance exam. He didn't see my shaven legs but did, to my surprise, do an EKG. Of course, he stuck the electrodes all over my shaven chest and stomach. There was no comment except he said the electrodes may cause a little pain when he removes them.
The last time I visited my regular GP for a "physical", my whole body was shaven with a little stubble. He made no comment. You know, there are some men who have very little body hair, and, many men shave or wax these days. I wouldn't worry about it.

No reaction at all among doctors I have seen. One of my crossdressing friends that I knew back in the early 1970's was an MD himself, so you never know - someone doing the exam might even be a CD.

I finally told my doctor and inquired about hormone treatments to take that step in becoming a woman.

He wouldn't do it.

He refered me to another doctor.

A 'clinical psychologist/therapist.

I haven't gone.... yet. (guess I'm not that desperate, yet either.)

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Thankyou Everyone for your comments!
You've been very helpful and have given me more confidence.
If I have to go to the doctor I won't be so worried. I guess I won't change doctors after all.
Thanks so much.

I'm very confident in who I am. I don't know what it's like not to shave everywhere. If my doctor has a problem with that, it's his problem, not mine.

I went to the doctors once with flu. To my suprise I was asked to take my top off so she could listen to my chest. My armpits and chest were clean shaven but she didnt say a thing. I had a hairdresser ask me once if I plucked my eyebrows. I said yes, and she simply replied with "cool". End of conversation :-D

I go to the VA for all my medical needs and have had complete physicals, MRI"s, x-rays etc. and no one has every said a word about my shaved legs, arms, arm pits. They have seen it all or just don't care. Why should they?

My regular doctor is female, and we have had some long talks about my crossdressing. She has another TG patient, and certainly has no issues with my dressing.

My cardiologist, just last week, saw me in a bra. As well as an x-ray technician. Neither one missed a beat.

Just be yourself. They are there to help, not worry about what clothing you are wearing, unless it happens to be something that might be causing a problem. (Like too tight of a bra. :heehee: )

Hugs.

Last time I saw my GP a couple of months back he took my blood pressure...which involved exposing my right arm..which was shaven. No reaction whatever from him.

My blood pressure was OK too :D

I always figured that my Doctor was concerned about my health not my sexuality. Quite franky, its none of his business how clean shaven or made up I am as long as it doesn't interfere with his ability to diagnose correctly.

I live in Los Angeles, so I think my doctor saw a lot of freaky things. I believe a shaved body in not a noticable thing.

I let my hair grow out for three or four weeks before a doctors appointment. Just my preference.

I went through an extensive medical test several years ago with many doctors and technicians. No one said anything. Once when I went to a doctor for a rash on my foot she asked me how long my big toe had been read (stained from many years of poish). I replied that that was not a medical condition and that was the end of it.

I'm a 100% disabled veteran, and the VA hospital here in Salt Lake City refuses to treat me until I dress appropriately for my gender, wich I refuse to do,they have gone so far as to have hospital police escort me off the property. The VA hospital here is run by Mormons.

A couple of years ago I broke my ankle. I had several sets of x-rays, along any number of techs, nurses, and doctors looking at my leg. No one blinked or acted like it was any big deal. Granted I was in a lot of pain, and at that time, couldn't care less. All I wanted was to stop hurting. I don't think most medical professionals care about things like that.

I have to take annual physicals for my job. At my most recent I was clean shaven from top to bottom. This physical is given by company nurses so they have an obligation to the patient and the company. Anyway, for the EKG not a word was said about the legs or chest or stomach. Medical people are some of the nicest, most caring people I have ever met. I think most have a special calling.

I think I would have filed some kind of suit. At the least I would have talked to someone. You may be able to claim it as a condition. And of course we both know a women could have gone in wearing a suit and tie and she would have been served.

I got a call to go for a EKG, so I took off my bra and went to the Dr's office. When I got home, the wife said I still had the bra marks on my chest and boobs...BJ
