Dear Sisters, having posted my opinions recently re-macho men, this may sound a bit odd or slightly contradictory.
Though I am certainly not a macho man when in male mode,I just have to laugh in private.I recently landed a job in a distribution centre for a huge Canadian fashion retailer.
I am working mostly with women in are you ready?, 'the women's fashion dept'.So I get a 'sneak peek' at the latest styles and fabrics for all kinds of women's wear.
I am so far well liked and the women think 'I am the man' so to speak since I get to flex my muscle when needed.Little do any of them realize that I am checking out the 'duds' when they're too busy to notice. Some of the guys nearby sound sort of effiminate and the women makes small quips about them to me as I laugh it off.
If only they really knew what a fem I really am at times.
I couldn't have landed a more ironic position if I had tried, ROFL!
Hugs, :hugs:

I was also "the dude" when I worked at New York & Co and The Limited, but the difference was that they knew I was a cd from the start. I had shopped at each store before being hired. The staff at both stores had seen me enfemme. Occasionally, one of my fellow SA's would bring a garment over to me, hold it up in front of me, and say "this would look great on you. Why don't you try it?"
After a while, if the opportunity presents itself, you might want to come out to them. My experience is that fashion retail people are very open to this type of thing.

Halloween is a great opportunity, Melanie. You could be one of the girls that day.

Actually girls it's damn hard at times to not feel a bit femmy, then again other nearby depts there are a lot of men, hundreds work here so I have to be careful.I have joked around though when something pretty has caught my eye and kidded with the women as I lisp in a femmy voice, they think I'm hilarious,so it can be a laugh.
Jodi and Karensusan,I dunno about coming out,but Halloween is a slight consideration though I worry about being fired.....
Hey Karen hon, I'll see what I can do ok?

Hugs girls,

It's rare Melanie, but clearly dream jobs do exist. But make sure you don't spoil a good thing. Make sure you know who you can trust.

Three reasons to invade Canada.
1. They have lots of oil, oil we need for our SUV's.
2. They're half French.
3. Those ultra sexy Canadian fashions.
Seriously best wishes to my sisters in the great white north.

I think we all are in the same situation, it's just that you are in the Fashion Industry. I consider myself a good looking guy as I do get quite a few stares out of the Ladies. I wonder how many of them would like to see me in a dress. I wonder how alot of them would feel about me if they found out about me. I do check out a lot of ladies and I love to look at them in all their finery. It's neat to see how they dress and how they act when dressed in those clothes. It's kind of neat seeing a Lady in a dress acting tough or even a little manly. Let's face it most Real Females don't like to get dressed up, it's to much of a pain in the a--. Or at least for them. I do know there are a lot of Ladies that love to dress up and do so to look better than the other ladies. It's a strange world, but pretty neat too.
