I've had a pair of pink corduroy pants for about a year, size 16, they were a smidgem loose. but that's just my hips. 3 months ago they were still fitting the same, but I started wearing a corset (actually LoveFifi.com's "Power Cincher PLUS") - the 1X size. About a month ago I wriggled my way into the next cincher size down. I've been wearing one of them for 20 hours a week on average.
I'm fairly bad at remembering things like sizes, so I hadn't noticed that the last 5 weeks or so my shopping had switched over to size 14s. It was only last week I noticed that a pair of jeans I ordered in a 14 was way too baggy and I had to get a 12 replacement. Because I know sizes are all over the place, I didn't really give it much credance.
But I did order myself a pair of those pink cords in a size 12 to give myself a goal.
They arrived this morning, same pants, same manufacturer. Put my feet into them, breathed in ready to attempt a failed wriggle into them, and pulled them all the way up in one movement. For a split second I had that "awh they're too big" niggle-thought.
They're slightly looser than the 16s were 3 months ago.
I realized with delight that the "L"s I've been fitting too aren't just a fluke, my shopping horizons have expanded inversely to my waist, and I have an excuse to pick up the shopping pace to make up for the no-longer fits :)

congrats! I am personally just trying to get my size down the old fashioned way: diet.
Also, just a question in general, does anyone know where I can find a conversion chart for men's sizes to women's sizes?

Congrats!! That's awesome!
I've started noticing that when I wear my Levi 501's that my hips are sticking out a lot, I'm on hormones of course and my hips have gained 2", so for me it's the opposite but I can appreciate what you are accomplishing!
Sorry for being gone so long gurlz, just been super busy the past 3 weeks!
I just shaved my legs for the first time in at least 2 weeks last night and Oooh did I sleep sound!!
Life is good!!

I've been improving my diet a little too - the corset helped curb some of my snack cravings, but that particular corset really does generate some heat, which has helped burn off the weight a little faster. Definitely recommend it for anyone who isn't overly fussed about corsets aside from the training aspect and doesn't want to splash out a fortune on a more elborate one.

I lost over twenty pounds myself over the course of about three weeks. From a size 22-24 to about a "generous" 18-20. Most of it was water weight while on a "detox fast", some of it is coming back. I eliminated constant snacking, late nite McDonald's, and am trying portion control.

Gee, I found out last November that I was diabetic and had to do some diet changes. Since then, I've lost over 50 lbs and gone from 24W plus-sized jeans down to misses size 16!:D Most of my dresses, bras, and outfits don't fit anymore! :(
Last month I had an abnormal PSA test and I'm worried I may have to lose some "man parts" and go on hormones. I really hadn't planned on transitioning but I guess if it has to be, it has to be.:idontknow: If it IS prostate cancer - now, that will bother me!

My wife started on Weight Watchers a couple of months ago, so as result I ended up on the same diet. I did it to support her and as result I discovered that I can now get into a size 12 misses dress and it is not tight. It was a wonderful surprise and great modivation to keep the weight down. I also noticed that when I stand in front of the mirrow and look at my body sidewise, I don't look 4 months Pregnant LOL. Yes I have a normal male gut, but now it is not so noticable.

Congrats on the weight loss, it gives a girl a great boost, to get down a size or too. I too am joining weight watchers with wife, why cant they take the "beer gut" and put to use like hips and boobs.

Hard work pays off.
I will probably never be as thin as I would like to be for dressing, due to a sport that requires a balance of mucsle and endurance that means more to me than having the perfect female body. But I do try hard to keep the weight down as low as possible.

Yup - I've been wearing this corset (http://www.lovefifi.com/ps-515-10-latex-power-cincher-plus.aspx) either to bed or for 8ish hours a day on weekends and 4-6 hours weekdays when I'm at home. Not every day, but fairly frequently, and I find that it helped curb my snacking impulses, that I found myself wanting to eat less and get more from my food so more inclined to cook the Marie Callendar meal 3-step meal that takes 7 minutes than the 'mac and beef' 8 minute one step, and then started getting back into cooking some of my own food, and the pounds started coming off.
But the cincher really works well at reducing fat, working a lil bit like a sweat box in some senses.
I put on most of the weight I lost just moving to the US. Your food here is bad for you. "Preservatives" largely work by making food inhospitable to bacteria. Do they just not teach how digestion works in US schools? :)
