Merry Christmas ladies and girls
I hope yours is a very spirited one
full of fun
kisses
hugs and cheer
anywho :)
I have a small dilemma
I was applying eye shadow and eye liner and can't get it so it looks right
I know how to put mascara on
no problem there
but the eye shadow is much trickier to do
any tips?
possibly tricks to make it easier?
same for eye liner
cuz you have to keep it real thin I heard
I could be wrong on that
but it's all good
thanks for hearing me out on this girls
I appreciate your help if you can lend it out
after all we have to look like women right?
I want to be such a pretty lady
and with your help at times ladies
I'll be in style, etc
as you all are I'm sure :)

love

I want to know how to use an eyeliner pencil or do you use the liquid type?
I have one but it seems very hard on the eye and doesnt leave much of a mark. I tried licking it but it makes no difference.

Well, you're not asking me but I'll chime in if that's okay:). I would recommend either Clinique QuickEyes, Smashbox eyeliners or those by bareEscentuals. These area all more expensive but very worth the extra money. The QuickEyes are probably the easiest to use. You just swipe on and a steady hand is not so necessary. Whereas Smashbox is a cream you put on with their brush. You load the tip of the brush and place it horizontally to the area you wish to apply and then dab. Kinda like a connect the dots effect. You can do a thin line or a thicker line. It's quite easy, even for the inexperienced. bareEscentuals is a mineral 'powder' that is applied with their special brush. It can be applied wet for a more dramatic effect or dry for less drama. You load and apply similarly to the Smashbox product. Being the makeup Queen. I have all three brands and use all of them--depending upon me mood. Best of luck! Don't buy liquid, unless you have the steady hand of a brain surgeon. :)

On trick is to use 4 colors of shadow.

Use the darkest color as an eye liner.
The next darkest to powder the crease in the lid.
The next to do the lid between the previous powders.
Then finally, the lightest under the brow to the lid crease.

using the darker color as an eye liner is easier than the pencil. I have tried the liquid.

If you use a pencil use the kind marked Khol or Khol-Kajal. It goes on easier and there is no need to lick. Also, always sharpen the pencil to avoid bacteria buildup.

See the tips at: http://www.make-upusa.com/cosmetics/eyeliner.htm

Another site I like, which also has an animation allowing you to chose colors and shows how to apply them, is Cover Girl (http://www.covergirl.com/register.jhtml;jsessionid=JGL0XFJ1LGKPRQFIAJ2NOCQ? success_page=/tips/eyetips/shadow_salon/utility.jhtml&cm=hd_shadowsalon&r=000600&_requestid=6772024)
