And found a bra that cost $136.00:eek:
I couldn't believe it
I thought when I paid $65.00 for one was too much

I don't remember the exact amount, but it was between $ 50 - $60, from Victoria's. Now most of my purchases are in the $ 12 - $ 40 range. From Katrina - Forever a Female.

Is that $CAN? Even so, for La Mystere that's a bit of a ripoff. And I don't think that particular style is so hot.

That said, the top of the line stuff is EXPENSIVE. A nice bra and panty set from Lise Charmel, La Perla or Chantelle can easily run US$200-300. There are a couple great eBay sellers who resell at a huge discount, but you are still talking US$80.

[Is it worth it? IMHO, yes!!!!!]

Yes it's Canadian funds
But there's not much difference any more
Maybe 10%

My opinion is, you can buy something sexy at VS or fredericks, or La Senza (canada) for way cheaper, but still have it be damn sexy.

Actually, I found ti funny earlier today. A girl was walking with a bag from La Senza, and All I saw sticking out was a baguette. I don't know why, but I thought it was funny.

Well, years ago we ordered a bra for my wife from Macy's in NYC. When it came it was the nicest bra she had ever worn. She wore it everyday and kept remarking on how comfortable it was and let me say that it really looked good on her.
So, then came the bill on my CC. Whew! $156 No way!! We called them and it turned out that they had misunderstood the order and sent the wrong bra. Well, I ended up paying for the bra because I could not get it away from my wife to send it back. She loved it too much.
So I guess you do get something for your money when you spend that much. I know I never will, but if you can afford it, go for it.

Lovies,
Stephenie

That bra looks like a micro fiber bra from LB. I think I spent $36, but the next one was half price....BJ

Hmmm...

Usually $25 to about $40 with the high point being aouund $50. It's all relative. There are Chevys and there are Ferraris. Functionally they do a lot of the same things, but I doubt that anyone is going to confuse the 2. I hope it is that way between say, Wonderbra and Le Mystere.

Opps, take that back. High point is $72...

/me pinches the penny a little harder...

Wow again. My bras cost between $15.00 and $40.00 and I usually stay with certain styles and brands. That assures me I'm getting something I know will fit. $136.00? Does the bra come with breasts also?

$136 ???? for that kind of money I want the face and figure of the model also.

The most I've ever paid is $65 and the was for a simple white bra. Now I don't spend any more than $20 to $30 and that's the limit.

Try E-Bay!
I have a tote full of about 100-150 bras ranging form 34A to 44DD
Kind of a compulsive hobby, but in the mean time, I learned what
size bra and cup size that fits me the best.
Since then, my collection of 42 C's has been growing and growing.

Just a little off topic but - butt, who's butt is worth fifty dollars for a pair of panties  .

Holy poop, Barb. What does it have, gold lining? GPS? Hidden weapons? If I pay over $10 for a bra, I feel I'm paying too much. Usually look for a twofer sale. If I get one on sale for $5, I figure I made out. Actually though, I'm still looking for a way to have a no bra look and still look like I have boobs. Those darn straps are beginning to annoy me. Seems like I'm getting more like a GG or F T M all the time. Scary for some I guess but I'm okay with it. Ericka Kay

Well ladys all I can say is I purchase mine at Wal-Mart (off the rack) or OHP catologs (playtex). Why spend so much money on a garment you are going to hide from people when you wear it?:hugs:

I paid $65 CDN for a bra matching paties were $30. I justified it because it was my first bra fitting at a specialty lingerie store and the SA spent over an hour with me helping me find just the right style. Awesome experience btw. There were some that were over a $100 but she knew it was more for fun then function. Now that I have my size and confindence I will probably just buy from Lasenza or the local department stores.

I spent $4o on a bra and $15 for a matching thong. Sadly I just put it in the garbage today it never really fit me that good and haven't worn it for over a year.

I still remember.. $29.95 for a body suit in David Jones ( eqv. Kohls) in 1981.
Over the years, $10-15 from the Superstores. $8 for a longline at StVinnies(eqv. Goodwill) Eastwood but mainly$2 to $6 from many many op shops and I have a beautiful collection that've made girlfriends envious.
Carol, so true but also so true is that great feeling of something snug and close up against the skin secretly hidden underneath.

Probably about 20 if it were a playtex type. $40 for a Lane Bryant pushup.

Peanuts. I'm not overly enamoured with the bra... been wearing them for practical reasons for too long. I stick to a cheap brand that sells in packs of three. If I'm feeling frisky I'll rather spend the dosh on a bustier or corset.

The bra I am wearing now, which I dearly love, is a Lilyette that I pade full price for($28.00) because I went in to a shop for a professional fitting with my forms.
I have since found out that the same style is available at Kohl's. Same price if not on sale.

Guess you all are not familiar with
http://www.agentprovocateur.com/
Very chi-chi goodies there!
Take a look at the shopping area...most bra's there are $120 -$155
Of course Kate Moss is their spokeswoman....so unless you have a rock {falling} star boyfriend, a friend in Karl Lagerfeld, and some serious dieting aids {coke...not cola} then you too might be glamourous and chic!

And FTR {for the record} the most I have spent on a bra alone was about $75.....

I've seen some very expensive bras on-line for way over the $100 mark but the most I ever paid was a bra that I bought at VS. That one cost me about $50 but I usually pay in the neighborhood of about $25 for mine.

I paid $55 for a Brantly CF Bra Lady Cameo - White Lace
- Ultra Support bra. I think it was worth the price to train my breasts.

I have spent as much as $16 for one. Where I live, you can get very pretty bras for not a lot of money. My bra only has to look pretty and hold up forms or whatever I am using at the time to fill it. The comfort is not as much of an issue; as long as I am wearing a 34 or a 36, the band is not too tight. But if I were a GG, I would have to worry about how it fits, how it feels wearing it a whole day, and how comfortable it is. It would be nice to worry about things like that, don't you think?

you only need to spend alot of money on a bra if you are difficult to fit or want something fancy women have the same problem ,if you are going to spend $100 on a bra
you better get fitted for it to make sure its a perfect fit

I bought all of my bras for less than 30 dollars.

They are nice to look at and most are also comfortable to wear, which is what counts most if one is to wear a bra all day long. On top of that, they lasted longer than I really wanted as I enjoy buying new ones

I bought most of them in department stores, some at TJ Max in NY, some at C&A in Brussels and a few on a mail catalog.

Now, of course, I've seen some beautiful ones for a lot more money... I might induldge sometimes in buying a really nice fashion bra with matching brief, but for the moment I'm very happy with those I have.

Actually, my GG friend from NY offered me a very nice dark red one a few years ago, I bet she spent more than 30 $, given the quality of it...

Around the $20-$30 mark. (A little off topic here). I think the fashion tndustry thrives on human insecurities. i.e. if you don't spend X amount of $$ you are not in the race. I was at a client office some years ago, and over heard 2 GG's talking. One said to the other "I brought a dress for $600 and wore it once"
