Got any suggestions for comfortable and practical femme sleepwear?

Nightgowns are out since going to the bathroom in them is a bit of a pain with having to lift up the skirt.

Jennifer, look at it this way, lifting up the nightie to pee could be a part of your sexual wonderful experience. I just went shopping at the mall the other day and went to the bathroom. Loved sitting down like a Lady and do my thing. How HOT.

Personally I prefer gowns to teddys or babydolls just because I like to cover my knees when I sit on the couch.

Babydolls should fall about mid thigh. Teddys usually look like a 1 piece bathing suit and sometimes come with snaps to unbutton the crotch.

Well, I worry about part of the nightie falling in the toilet.

i have always wore long silky nightdresses in bed and when you need the toilet in the night and you are sleepy it could be a problem lifting the nightdress up but i have never had an accident yet in 22 years and if i ever did i would just put another one on. you could try silky pj's or a short chemise but whatever you wear you will get used to the possible drawbacks and the many advantages x

I prefer night dresses to any other form of night wear.
I agree with SEJD, I try when ever possible to sit down to have a pee, it's a natural lady like thing to do.
Anyway I have worn nightdresses for the last 40 years and have never had a little accident.

Well, I worry about part of the nightie falling in the toilet.I know but with practice, you get used to it. Anyway, I wear PJ's sometimes. Sometimes, I just wear a bra and panties. Ericka Kay

I'm partial to sleepshirts. Both the cotton tshirt types, and the silk collared types. Sometimes in the winter I'll also wwear pantyhose to bed if it's really cold.

Agree with Sejd. I wear these chemise nighties, which fall just above the knees, and cotton panties. Easy to pull the panties down and sit on the throne. Just make sure you are aimed down, into the bowl.

:hello: Love wearing my nighties to bed, since telling my wife about my dressing and she said she doesn't mind me wearing what ever I like to bed I have not worn anything else. Just love the feel of wearing a sexy nightie all night. Liffting it up to go to the toilet is no problem, rather that than not wearing it. Erica.

I started to look at the J.C. Penney catalog for a url to post, but if you look at Erica's avatar, that is what I would suggest (and the length I plan on getting (already talked to my wife about it)).

Currently, I am wearing Stafford brand bikini underwear (look like the wife's, but with more room in the front for the "boys"), and a Hanes A-Shirt (looking down, I can see the "girls" clearly).

I would continue to wear the Stafford brand bikini underwear but with the short nightgown.

Vanity Fair PJs. In nylon of course. I have a few long "night shirts" also in nylon. Making the "midnight trip" has never been a problem for me. Haven't gotten anything wet yet.

I found wear-to-sleep an instrumental part of familiarizing myself with dressing en-femme. So finding something that didn't far totally different than boywear or particularly arousing was a huge help to my general comfort levels.

Hanes do a good racer back chemise that isn't long enough to be a pain if you need to go potty, its cotton so its quite comfortable, and a pair of their "authentic boxers" (women's section, silly). I used to find that if I woke up to go potty and found myself dressed, I would always, always, always take off what I was wearing. Once that stopped happening other things started to fall into place much more easily/comfortably.

Got any suggestions for comfortable and practical femme sleepwear?

I almost sleep every night in nightgowns. The only exception is when I'm out in an hotel with my wife, since she doesn't like me to X-dress, I sleep in a pyjama. In fact, she isn't too upset with me wearing nightgowns, but I try to give her a breack when we go on vaccation together. I can understand that she wants to forgive the "other woman"...

When at home, since we sleep in separate bedrooms, I always sleep in a nightgown. I do the same when I travel alone in hotels. I like nightgowns which are very sleek, made of satin material and not too much lace as it is often less soft on the skin.

I have several nightgowns depending upon the season of the year. For wintertime I have some long ones with long sleeves too, some are on rather heavy material, satiny outside and wooly inside (sorry I don't know the English term here for "tissu gratté". For mid season, I still prefer long gowns but of a lighter material (still satiny). In sumertime I have short ones sleeveless or with very short sleeves again in satin like material.

Note that my wife and many GG friends of mine do prefer coton nightgowns. They keep telling me it is far more comfortable :D but I tell them it is only a question of sensuality... :heehee:

Nightgowns are out since going to the bathroom in them is a bit of a pain with having to lift up the skirt.

Concerning your problem with going to the toilet while wearing a nightgown, it is just a matter of practice and getting used to it... Actually, this will probably sound silly to most GGs but I like the feeling of raising my nightgown on my legs, and when I'm finished, I love the feeling of the material sliding back on my legs too...

So for me the most practical and comfortable nighwear remains a nightgown.

I love my 3/4 length slips and have several sets of satin buttoned tops with boxer type shorts, nice and practical. If I wear sultry lingerie to bed it has to come off before sleep as I find it too uncomfortable to sleep in all night.

Nightgowns are wonderful for sleeping. They're all I've worn for years and I agree with so many other of the girls that raising them adds to the thrill of it all. And the only time mine get wet is when they go into the wash. A proper fit ensures a comfortable sleep and I just love seeing them hanging on the back of the bathroom door. For so many of us it's a fantasy world we are in and the nightgown simply enhances it a bit more.

I usually wear a Knee length nightie, silky or satin but not cotton. I love the feel of satin. I feel so womanly and sexy.I find lifting up my nightie, holding it gently, and then sitting down to pee makes me feel so erotic and feminine.
Part of my feminization.I then wipe myself so gently like most delicate females do.What a feeling.

I often wear a night-corset to bed (oh wait, you said practical!). My vote goes for short silky chemises - the kind that end at the upper thigh. But you can still get practical and sexy with a cami/tap pant set. I think a stretchy cami top and cotton pj bottoms can look really sexy too :)

I love the satin chemise. The few times I've had the chance to sleep en femme I've worn a super-short satin chemise with satin panties. The super-shortness avoids the bathroom issues and feels super sexy. Of course, feeling super sexy makes it very hard to get to sleep. I guess that's not very "practical". But to hell with practicality - I want to feel sexy!

Nightgowns are fun but for me on a cool winter's night, it's usually a backzip turtleneck leotard and tights. They stay in place instead of bunching up and they cover you completely. Sizes that are not too tight fitting are more comfy for sleeping in. Choose styles and colors as femme as you like and you can wear silky panties or bras underneath if you wish or, as is my choice, nothing at all. For toilet issues, wearing the tights over the leotard for sleeping takes care of most, your choice. Then When you wake up after a cozy night sleeping in tights and leotards, you are all ready for morning stretches. Or you can pop on a jumper over them and get on with your morning activities.

Silky lycra leotards and tights sliding between satin sheets in a warm waterbed--so luxurious!

Hi jennifer.

I buy all my sleep wear from www.idontdomornings.com I've found them very good value for money and comfortable. They do a good range of unisex clothing. Ok you do have to lift the hem, but it's no big deal if you choose the shortie style

Well, I may be the odd one here. I don't like to wear anything at night. However, on the colder nights when I want to conserve energy, I like to wear microfiber tights and a long sleeve 'body wrapper' or the tops and bottoms of the tighter fitting 80%nylon/20% spandex 'Cuddl Duds'.

SkyMall (of airline seat pocket fame) has adult-sized footy pajamas in a variety of colors, some of which are girly. I think they'd be nice for a cold winter. There's a solid pink and a duck print, which looks cute on a GG but might make one of us look more like a big toddler. :P
