This post is so I can put in my input on the shaving legs issue. I have never shaved my legs before. I have been dressing for 15 years. I have always wondered what it is like and have read countless posts on the subject. Well, I decided to do it! I went and bought some veet and went at it. I am here to tell you out there, if you are debating, DO IT. I can not even begin to express how feminine and amazing it feels. Don't worry about what anyone has to say. What matters is what YOU have to say. Stay positive and think about what makes you happy! :2c:

HI Girl,
Been Shaving for years; very little body hair at all - just a small patch. You are right it feels totally differant and in my case I just do not care waht anyone else thinks about me doing it.
Hugs to all

I agree wholeheartedly. I have used the Veet and it works quite well, but I have found that shaving is much more economical. I forget (sorry:o ) who originally posted the suggestion about shaving your legs using hair conditioner, but I tried it and found it to work very well for me.

I also found a new razor the other day at Wal-Mart.
It is a women's triple bladed razor called Mystique.
It looks very similar to the more expensive Venus razor, but costs about half compared to it. I was very impressed with the results. The combination of a good razor and the conditioner (I use the Suave with aloe and vitamin E) has been working very well for me. I highly reccomend it!

And yes, it feels so wonderful having smooth legs. :D

Enjoy it, it is your body after all. Also I think it is a symbolic step to self acceptance that you will not be held ransom to society's intolerance any longer. So just be the real you. I have been shaving for years and have never looked back.

I have been dressing for nearly 25 years , very firmly in the closet and never once shaved my legs , the other night i was joking with my wife about waxing her legs , she turns around and says only if you do , thinking back now that could have been a great way to get smooth legs and have some fun with my wife without raising any weird looks , next time she brings it up ill say yes and go from there , then its off to get some stockings:hugs:

Only this year have I gone out in shorts with shaved legs, and last night in a sleevless shirt (I shave my pits too).

You just gotta think to yourself "Who cares?" :)

Saw one guy glancing at me, probably because of my arm pits as my legs are tan and nobody has even given them a second look.

DO IT~! :) :)

Now my thing is the itchy that comes about 3 to 5 days after, it tells me it's time to shave - can't stand the itchy LOL :)

You need to make the next move. she'll forget about it, you won't and it could be years before it comes up again... i know, my wife knows about my dressing and joked once about painting my nails, i choked, and it hasn't come up again in over 6 months. now i'm just waiting for the fall to bring it up again...

Ask her if she made the waxing appointments at the salon yet, make the appointments yourself [there are dozens of local salons dying to get your money], buy the do-it-yourself stuff and ask her to do you first, ect...

i've had my legs waxed several times this summer and i'm working up to my arms [as the weather gets colder]. believe me, it is wonderful.:p

She states that by shaving my legs , i have increased both the time i spend in the bathroom, water consumption, razor blades, shaving gels.
So i stated what's your point! none she replied just making a statement.
So from there i love shaveing, and the feel of silk skin for as long as possible.

I started shaving my legs, chest, arms, and under arms last year. I have gone out in shorts and bear chested. No one has said anything. One nail tech that did my pedicure did comment on how nice my legs were. A GG customer in the next chair overheard the nail tech and looked at my legs too. All she did was give a curt node and went back to reading her magizine.

I agree on how nice it feels when you put on pantyhose or even just putting on my drab trousers. It has been so hot lately, that I stopped wearing an under shirt and I have noticed how good it feels the shirt rubbing against my bare chest.

I just shaved my legs before logging on. I want to dress fully tomorrow (for the first time in almost 3 weeks), and I thought I'd save some time tomorrow by doing my legs tonight. It's hard to resist the temptation to put on something pretty right now, but if I do, I know I won't get to sleep for hours. :)

I occasionally go out in short sleeve shirts when shaved, but never in shorts. I once had a friend accidently brush his arm against mine about a week after shaving & he asked me if I'd been in a fire. Without thinking I asked why. He responded that my arms were spiky. I just said that I hadn't been in a fire and moved on, and he has been a bit distant toward me since then. Funny thing is, I've seen this guy dressed as a woman in a few amateur plays & he seemed to be having great fun. He has feminine features & moves gracefully and when dressed he passes really well. I get the feeling that he's a CD in denial, or at least deep in the closet. He comes from a strongly religious family.

No shaving thread would be complete without a link to Robin's Rapid Body Shaving (http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=535591#post535591) method. :)

Just an update for everyone. All day today the only thing I could think about at work was how wonderful my legs felt and how liberated I felt inside. Soo, I went back to walmart and bought another can of veet. After THREE HOURS in the bathroom, lol, I am now hairless. Well, except for my arms. That would be begging for questions. I am sooooooo glad I did it!! I think I am going to keep shaving for a while but after a while I am going to wax! Thanks for all your nice comments and stories!

I have shaved and veeted everywhere. No one pays that much attention. I have been to the local pool a many times and only get the odd look in the showers, only because of a very small inverted triangle in the right spot! Do a Nike and just go for it.

I also have been shaved clean all over , except arms. i have normally shaved only during the cold season. this year i kept the body smooth. i was visiting my brother down in fla. this past labor day weekend and my sister in law asked why i had no hair on my legs. i said that i like it that way. she said that this is the in thing now. i ran with it and said i do shave all. there was no other comments. i have been out all summer in short's and tee's with no problems. the feeling of freedom from hair is wonderful
shave on girls.....:p

I keep my upper chest clean shaven and my armpits are usually hairless. Thankfully the "itchy" doesn't bother me as much as it bothers Scottie :heehee: .
I'm not able to shear my legs as often as I wish. My wife knows but my 17 year old daughter starts asking too many questions when I shave my legs :thumbsdn:

I don't have any hair on my chest, one tiny tiny patch, I keep the armpits shaved too - no itchy there, just the legs if I let them grow for two weeks or so without shaving.

Just hair rubbing against my jeans or clothing - yuk!! - so the key is to keep my legs shaved! :)

I just shaved as a matter of fact.

Nothing like lying in the tub wisking away my leg hairs, chest and armpits.

So femme.

I agree, it is hard to do in the summer though; however, now that fall is here and the leaves will soon fall from the trees, so will my inhibitions and body hair as well!

I finally took the plunge last spring and have enjoyed every bit of it. Admittedly, I was self-aware in some social situations, but soon realized no one even noticed...or simply didn't care enough to comment. I'm not hairy anyway...no chest hair at all and very faint on arms. So, I guess it looks natural that my legs are hairless. If they're nice and tanned up, they look great. My wife never even said anything until a week ago when we were sitting in church and she put her hand on my knee and said, "did you shave your legs?" I just kind of gave her a funny look (because I was too gutless to simply say yes) and that was that. She didn't mention it again. I think she actually prefers it, but we've never discussed it. I wonder is she realizes she's going through razors twice as fast these days! Her Venus works superbly, much better than a man's razor.

If it was possible and practicable and could afford it, I would have all of my hair from my neck down permanently removed, and my facial hair. Am a blond and do not have much anyway including on my face. Have to be reminded to shave my face, hate to do it.

Many guys wax, body builders etc and you rarely see chest hair on men in movies. So it is not all that strange to shave.

I agree, shaving is a must and being shaven is a night and day experience when dressed. Hose just feels better when you're shaven and the whole experience getting there is sooooooooo femme!

I shave everything at least once a week. Even in the summer nobody seems to notice. I just love the smooth sexy feel.

Many guys wax, body builders etc and you rarely see chest hair on men in movies. So it is not all that strange to shave.

Not just movie stars but all male models wax/shave. Nearly every man you see on billboards and magazine adverts are all hair-free. So considering we are being bombarded with media images of sexy hairless men, I wonder why we remain no neurotic about shaving our own bodies because clearly hairless men does not equate to feminine men.

We are all too afraid that anything we do will give the game away which is so irrational. The average person would never link a man who shaves or waxes with crossdressing.
