Bra size?

I am having trouble determining my bra size. cup is no problem but my chest measures 44" if i follow the online guides it means a band size of 48". Is this correct?

I did the best thing, I got measured in a womens clothing store, the lady who did it didn't bat an eyelid, and I found out I had been wearing the wrong size. :)

Diane - An alternate solution, if you are too bashful to be measured, is to buy a 44 on sale (perhaps at a thrift store) and see if it is too big or too small.

Then measure the difference and buy a second on sale based on this difference to confirm the size.

Then you will know for sure.
