Earrings!

I have always wanted to have my ears pierced. I have worn the clip-ons before and really enjoyed them but it still felt too fake. Well, this week I have been doing it all, lol. I went from nothing to shaved legs, shaved everything else, first shopping experiences, and now I had my ears pierced. I had both lobes pierced and the top of my left ear. I will try to post a pic soon. It didn't really hurt. I am just trying to be cautious in keeping them clean and free from infection. I warned my Mom in advance so she wasn't too worried about it when I came home. My brother went through the earring stage years ago(not cd, just teenager years.) Anyway, it feels great! Everything I thought it would be like. I can't wait to begin my earring collection. Let's hear all of your thoughts and stories on earrings! Have any of you tried them, or even tryed clip-ons? And if not, WHY? :hugs:

Pierced is the way to go! I have had mine done for a long time, and I don't know how I would do it without the holes. Congrats!!

had my ears pierced long time ago and loved it. didnt do it for cd, but that would work if i had any girlie earings. dont have any guy earings either at the moment come to think of it...applied at a job and had to take them out...they were the kind where the back screws on and i couldnt get them to come off so i had to break them all out :( oh well, i can always get more. you should try tattoos next :D i love tats

I have several piercings in each ear and love them. Before I had my ears pierced I wore clip ons, they would become really painful after a few hours, I don't notice my pierced ear rings except when I wear ones that dangle.

I've had pierced ears for about 20 years, clip-ons hurt, and I like bigger, dangly earrings, so the clip-ons often would fall off. I really like having pierced ears, as the earring selection is huge, and they're comfortable.

Plus, I just wanted to get my ears pierced, I viewed it as a significant step toward being more feminine looking.

So congratulations for taking that big step, I think you'll really be glad you did.

Be sure to not rush things though, wait until your ears are healed before switching to "real" earrings, and keep your piercings clean.

Congrats to you NassauGurl! It is a great feeling. I had mine<both> done over 20 years ago and it is one of those things that helps complete the look and the feel. Treat yourself to a nice pair of earings
