I will always look like a man in a dress, no way around it. But my soul, now my soul knows, and that what makes it feel good..

Not just a better looking person, but; for me; better person, better personality and, better everything applies. Pretty much convinced I should have been born a girl.

I have a long way to go before I can have any hopes of looking good as a woman. But Karren....wow. If I knew you as a man, I would never recognize your female self, and vice-versa. Jeez, you look great.

I looked better as a woman in the 1980's, but I have yet to decide where I stand today. Will find out before this year is up and post my answear then. DeeDee3

I do think I look better as a woman, but only because I think I look like something the cat refused to drag in as a guy. My wife might have a dissenting vote on this, though, and hers is the only vote that really counts...

HOW MANY OF US FEEL THAT WE NOW MAKE A BETTER LOOKING WOMEN THAN THE "MAN " THAT WE ARE..
In drab, I'm "just another guy" that no-one pays attention to, with no outstanding features. Oddly, though, for all the non-attention, people tend to remember me, or at least recognize me when they see me again.
En femme, I get compliments and smiles.
But... when I'm in drab, I'm usually not paying attention to how I look -- avoiding major colour coordination clashes is about the limit. So in drab, I do not have a conscious self-image that I am broadcasting to the world.
Tess-Leigh is happy to be wearing the clothes she is wearing, and happy to be out in the world, and that attitude "projects" and people react to that.
We were talking at the club meeting last week, and we readily agreed that being accepted by society (at least where we are) is mostly a matter of feeling comfortable and natural while en femme: walk like everything is perfectly normal and like you "belong" where you are, and people do not tend to see you as being "wrong" or "out of place". If, though, you are feeling nervous, worried what people are going to think of you, concerned that you look silly, feeling like you shouldn't be where you are dressed like you are, then your body language projects that wrongness and discomfort, and people pick up on that easily. Feeling uncomfortable out as a crossdresser is like "walking like a victim" in a big city.
The relevance of this last is that when I'm in drab, I don't project like an attractive likable guy; even if the average person thought that I'm "not bad looking" if they bothered to look, they mostly wouldn't bother to look past my typical "head lost in the clouds" projection. Who knows what I'd look like in drab if I "cleaned up" and wore fashionable things, and smiled...

Not to post off topic, I feel I look good either way, it's the beauty inside that I am hoping everyone can see!! I've found that now that I'm older and less of a "cutey", the real people can relate and we find something beautiful about each other.
Rexy, I've not seen you en drab, but you are one gorgeous BABE!!

Karren & Miss Petra,
god you both look great --------- well if I ever get round to losing several hundred punds in weight, grow several hundred inches in height, lose em width wise, have major boob reduction surgery, dye the hair (which I can't cos is allergic to hair dye:sad:) I may just may be able to give u girls a run for your money.
But honestly you both look fab ---- to note a minor point both of you sooooooooo stern in the guy pice and both wide smiles in girlie pic ---- coincidence or what !!!!!!!
You girls are inspirational to all girls

Hehe...Erica, that photo of the old guy was taken a couple minutes before I dressed for the first time after a 10 year vacation...and how much foundation do you think it took to hide that furry thing?? Lol. Wasn't a pretty sight...and I'll never post those pics!! The mustach left shortly after that pic...wife wondered why I shaved it off after 33 years... "Time for a change". Ended up being a BIG change!!

Great point! I find myself smiling more, and enjoying myself more when I am dressed femme. I have more confidence when dressed. Think I look better as a girl than a guy. Though my guy self is not bad either (sorry, no guy pics for you). It's all about the clothes, make-up, and accessories that make me look so much better as a woman.

Wow, what a contrast, Karren! That double pic just gave me a scathingly brilliant idea. :) Do a Photoshopped pic containing Karren & Warren side by side, like they're colleagues at a convention. If done right, it could be a good picture to show your wife... Or maybe not. :heehee:
I think I look better en femme, and most of my friends agree. Some of my straight male friends even get a bit flirtatious. :) I certainly feel happier, and tend to smile more. When I go outside dressed up I have to stop myself from grinning like an idiot. :)

The reason why you look better as women is cause as men you don't smile. On the other hand, as women you do. Simple, no?
