Greetings peoples.

well today i finally got my blood test results back ...

it had been a little less than the 3 weeks i had been told to wait until taking the test ... but the pain was getting to be a little too much for me to handle.. so away i went.

after a brief run in with what has to be the worst vampire in history .. all i had to do was wait.
well as i said, my results are back ..
and im not dying .. yay.

my liver count has dropped quite considerably. its still above the maximum level .. but only by 4 points now.

its still not super great news .. as ive done everything i possibly could to not stress my liver any ... including avoiding any pain meds... which has been .. trying.
but its not the worst news i could have gotten back either.

my back has been killing me for reasons that can only amount to sadism on its part .. i think it just knows that i cant just pop and pill and get rid of the pain .. so its making sure its heard loud and clear.

but at least im not dying ... i find this a good thing. and with the level dropped i can wait out the time thats needed for me to get my surgery and have my Kitty with me.

so, i figured i owed you all a result .. and if anything changes i will let you know.
but for now at least its hopeful and back on course.

its ever more hopeful in that i went totally fulltime due to the prospect of possibly not being here for my planned day of going fulltime ..
so thats been ... enjoyable.

Thanks to all the people that have given me support and kind words .. they have helped me get past this trying time of mine.
many thanks.
D.

Thanks for the update, Dee. I'm so glad to hear that the liver seems to be healing. Still praying for you. Keep your pretty chin up, hon. :hugs:

That's fantastic Dee, I'll sure both of you are very relieved. Maybe given a few more weeks that number will keep dropping :) :hugs: to you both

its the ALT thats given me the problems.

and from what i know of it, an elevated level of 4 isnt much worth being upset about.
its still stressing out my liver, but not enough that i should worry day and night about it.
and im positive that it will hold out for the year thats needed before my surgery can go ahead ..
so all in all .. good

besides .. it shows that its fallen .. but as people have pointed out .. it could keep falling .. which would be even better ..

i was kind of hoping that i would be able to take my anti-inflammatory again.. but oh well .. i guess i will just have to watch what im doing for the next year.

I know for a fact that the worst vampire in history was nowhere near Australia this month.

hmm ... maybe they are related...
this person rocked the needle all over the place and kept stabbing deeper and deeper and then finally when i couldnt take it anymore she stopped and started in on the other arm ..
and also .. i went in there with a request for 3 tests to be done ... i got 2 back.

oh, I hate needles... sorry for the vampire, didn't know you were ill, but it sounds like you've had a bit of good news, and that's good to hear.

Hope you get well real soon Dee :rose2:
