Testing the waters.

Kerry and I live just a few miles from a local "general store" whose motto is; "If we ain't got it, you don't need it". They do seem to have everything including, as their sign says, shot guns, wedding gowns, cold beer, etc. We were in there just a while ago and went into the wedding gown room where we were chatting with the seamstress. In a tongue-n-cheek manner I asked if I could be fitted for a gown today. Without so much as a blink of an eye she said I could try one on. I didn't do it but now I know where to go when I am ready to.

Do you think she was kidding or did she really mean it? Sometimes if I can't go somewhere I will tell my friends, "My best dress is at the cleaners". They think I'm kidding.:heehee:

She didn't seem to be joking and Kerry told me as we walked away that she thought the woman would have let me if I had taken up the offer. She, (the seamstress), is from the UK so maybe she has a more relaxed attitude about clothes than her American counterparts.
