Need Help First Bra Fitting

I'm going out this morning for my first bra fitting. I've bought several bras over the years and have always told the saleswomen the lingerie is for my wife or girlfriend. How receptive are the store clerks? Would you recommend a department store or a lingerie shop? Thanks, Jennifer

Hi Jennifer.

I've had the same experience as you. Tried the department stores, lingerie shops and both have the same problem - limited sizes. I ended up looking for and going to a TG friendly Bra Store. There they measured me every which way and fitted me with a bra THAT FITS!!

Most gals thinh there are only two measurements to worry about: the band size and cup size. Believe me there are other measurements such as the distance from nipple to nipple, nipple to center of under arm, etc. that are equally important to a proper (comfortable) fit.

My opinion: Look around for a specialty bra shop unless you are one of the fortunuate ones who can wear a "stock" size.
