I am looking for a coat must be ankle lengh and be suitable for both drab and em-fem I have seen plenty of knee lengh coats but none ankle.
Any how I am back after he had a summer away poor steph locked away now catching up for lost time hehe

Hi Stephanie. Sorry, but I have never seen an ankle-length coat for a man, unless your 5' 2" then the pockets are by the knees.

Helan they do exist I did see one ( on guy in street) yesterday however the top would be too tight over the breasts.

Have you looked at those "Stockman" style coats, usually in brown/green waxed cotton ? You can get leather ones as well. You can get them in horsey shops (sometimes called riding coats) as well as country-wear shops. Here's one for sale on Ebay:
