OK I can be fairly certain that someone here is either associated with or knows of a store I just discovered called Passion Fasion located in the northwest 'burbs of Chicago.

OMG! if you havn't heard of it...well you have now. Every city should have one just like it. I came upon it in a completely non TG local publication. There it was, as I was thumbing through the pages. A picture of a model next to the store logo.Under that reads "a CD friendly boutique". "Am i reading this right?" i thought. So i had to go and check it out. It's literally moments from where I work and an area I spent a great deal of time. I walk in to the place, and ask the lady at the counter (a GG)..."what exactly is "CD friendly"? just to confirm my suspicioun.
Somewhat cautiously she replies "Uh...well that means crossdresser friendly."
I almost had a grabber. All I could muster was "then I'm in the right place." I then proceeded to browse freely in an actual store that (didn't just sell linegrie) for femme clothes. And a great selection indeed. Unfortunatly money is tight so i really couldn't buy anything righ now...except for the wig I fell in love with. I mean there are actual dressing rooms to try stuff on. I was actually able to take the time to try on several wigs in private instead of fearfully grabbing the first one i saw taht i might like and dashing for the door (after paying ofcourse) in fear that I might be outted. Instead ,here, being outted was what it was all about. No need to hide being a CD in a store that is for CD's.
The clerk on duty was so helpful and so nice. It was an amazing expirience and it just came out of nowhere.

If the person who runs this shop happens to be a member here,I just want to say thank you. You are doing a huge service, and helping to pull cding out of the shadows.

Has anyone else found a place like this near yourself?

Cool, Those folks need to be mentioned in this forum. How about giving them a plug, as to address. After I retire, I might have to drive to chi town and check them out....BJ
