Hi Girls!
I was wondering how many total pairs you have. I'm sort of becoming a shoe monger! In drab I only own like 2 pairs, and some sneakers. Staycee on the other hand has 4 pairs of sandals, 4 pairs of boots, 5 pairs of pumps, 1 pair of platforms, and a pair of slingbacks! a total of 15 pairs and I still see shoes everyday that I'd love to have! :eek: I think I'm becoming sympathetic to Imelda Marcos!:heehee:

Ahhh, shoes! :D I recently had a clearout, disposed of 5 pairs of pumps and slingbacks. I'm only days off from receiving my new arrivals, 4 pairs of shoes including pumps, slingbacks and even a pair of stripper shoes! I do have a pair of thigh high boots on order as well.

All in all I have probably about 10 pairs of femme footwear.

I guess I've been doing this for too long. At last count, I have over 275 pairs of womens shoes and 20 pairs of boots. THis is after I gave away 30 pairs last year. I guess I have an obsession for shoes. I go with the adage that the shoes and bag will make or break the outfit. Some of the shoes I have were purchased for a specific outfit and are worn only with that outfit.

OK. There are like 80 pair stuffed in and around the closet.
That's because more are having a meeting in a basement box.
Still others - no doubt bound for eBay - are in a tub in the garage.

... that's definately OTT, :D , where do you keep them all ?

I have only 3 pairs of shoes - all 3" or higher heels - no "flats" - would love to have more - but unfortunately circumstances dictate 'storage' space (as in hiding place) is restrictive.

I guess I'd be content with 20 pairs or so, and definately some soft leather boots, I particularly like those with laces all the way up the front (are they still "in fashion"?), obviously all with heels :heehee:

Danni, I live by myself so no need for hiding anything. I own my own home so I have enough space, well almost enough. My shoes are stored in their original boxes in closets and under my bed. I have about 50 pair that are stored in the second floor of my workshp building in my backyard. Strange that some of them have popped back in style and I have been wearing them again.

Shoes! Did somebody say shoes?! I don't know if I've ever said this but, I LOVE shoes! I don't have a count , but I probably have between 250 and 300 pair. All different styles, heights, and colors. I am always on the hunt( I take this very seriously) for more. My wife also benefits from my passion. She doesn't have as many asI, but let me tell you, she gets complements all the time about hers. I even drive with a pair of one-band wedge shoes and change when I get out of the truck!:heehee:

Just three pairs in total (I bought a pair today). A pair of semi-formal sandal style shoes with a 2 inch heel, a pair of calf length boots with a three inch wedge heel (it's suprising how small they make my feet look but they're not tight) and I today picked up a pair of wedges with a 5 inch lift at the heels and those ribbons you tie up around your calves. Hmmm, each time I buy a pair of shoes the heels keep getting taller. I'm not sure I want to know how high the next pair will be :eek: (and for the record, yes I did watch the movie "Kinky boots" recently).

I am at 82 pairs currently between heels and boots. Hoping to reach 100 by year end which will not be too hard!! Bigger issue is the closet is full!!!! Had to reaarrange it this past weekend!!!

Probably about 3 dozen...and that's after donating to Goodwill a bunch of the nasty, cheap stuff that I bought years ago.

The problem with dressing like a girl is that no outfit is complete without the perfect shoes...so I have a lot. :)

I've got exactly one pair of girl-shoes! They're black flats - I really like them. Not fancy, but definitely female. Bought one more pair online, but didn't like them.

Question: does this mean I'm not a REAL crossdresser? (just kidding!)

Not nearly enough girl shoes.
Used to have one pair of shoes, (male) for biking, hiking camping, swimming, whatever. Now I have 3 dress shoes, 2 bike shoes, 4 runners, 2 camping, 1 yard, 2 sandals.. does it end?
Sadly, one pair of platform type sandals (3.5"), a flat mary jane, and one slipper type, which don't stay on my feet. The next two on my list to buy would be a nice black pump, and a nice classy boot, but my GF says they won't fit around my calves. Will have to try some.

Maybe there is more in my future...

I have 1 pair of closed toe 5" heels, 1 pair of 3" mules, and 2 pairs of black strapy affairs that are 4". I have no boots or sandles though. Our house isn't very heel friendly so most of the time I don't have them on so I own very few. The hardest thing is finding one that don't cramp my feet, which is one reason I prefer open toes.

I'd have more, but for these yards I have (just too big to be feet). Not only do I need a women's size 13, but I'm cursed with a high instep to boot (no pun intended). I'm hard to fit even with men's shoes and usually opt for something a bit wider than I should have just for the comfort. Now, to the closet...

2 pair patent platform pumps in black - 6 inch heel, 4 inch plat
1 pair of black calf leather lace up platform knee boots - 6 inch heel, 4 inch plat
1 pair brown payless platform clogs - 4 inch heel, 3/4 inch plat
1 pair black calf leather 5 inch stiletto full zip thigh boots - custom from Classic Shoe
1 pair white/natural platform wood sandals - 6 inch heel, 4 inch plat
1 pair Elle 8890 lined black leather thigh boots - reworked with 4 inch stacked heel and real leather sole

The plats work because there's stability when you wear a shoe that doesn't fit my foot well. I sure don't need the height! My best are the last in the list, the thigh boots. I bought them cheap and promptly broke the plastic heel on one. A boot maker near me took measurements and remade these boots. I wish ALL my shoes fit like these.

I am a lover of vintage shoes, meaning those of the 70s and 80s. Nothing twists my crank more than those wonderful wood plat sandals and stacked heel boots like Zodiac used to make. I drool over these items on eBay, then look down at these huge flippers of mine. Sizes are getting larger though and woods made a comeback as well as stacked heels. Maybe by the next time they come back to the fashion spotlight, they'll be in a size I can use.

I thought that I had lots of shoes at 35 plus heels and flats. But compared to some I guess I'm a mere babe in the woods as they say. Most of the time when I'm home in the evening I wear flats with gals jeans, but sometimes heels with my longer flared jeans (gals). I love to shop for shoes.:D
