There was a convention in Atlanta 3 weeks ago where 790 Tgirls and Transmen were registered. Its called SCC. Then I know of more conventions like Be-All in Chicago. There are some like in Boston, Phonix and the girls in England have a big one. Think that is called Sparkle

The logistics would be a nightmare. There are members here from South Africa to Wales, to Canada, to Alaska as well as points inbetween and beyond.

Every April there is the Diva las Vegas. The DLV is not a convention in the classic context- there are no vendors, presenters or speakers but it is a week of fun 27/7 en femme if you wish. We go to shows, shopping, dinners, limo ride down the strip and even a golf tournament . This coming year it will be from 4/23 - 4/28/07.

Every year in Cape Cod CDs take over Provincetown for a weekend. I hear it's fabulous. I want to go but I'm chicken. It's called the fantasia fair - there's events and shopping, etc, all in a very friendly town.

Each November, the Lake Erie Gala is held in Erie, PA. This is small compared to SCC, but is still a lot of fun. All girls are welcome to come. More info can be found at www.eriesisters.org.

Big events like Southern Comfort in Atlanta or the IFGE conventions (Philly this year??) are open events, you do not need to be a member of any group or society. But please note: MOST ARE NOT FREE.

The big conventions take place at a hotel(s). They are planned events with seminars, outings and meals. You usually pay for the event based on how many days you will be there and what events and meals you want. There is also lots of time to explore on your own or with others. As they take place in a hotel, you WILL meet folks from the general public.

I have been to 2-3 IFGE events, 1-2 Holiday En Femme and 1 Southern Comfort.
All have been a blast. This year in Philly the IFGE event reached 400. Southern Comfort has been over 800 for the last few years.

Check out http://www.transeventsusa.org/ifge/index.shtml for IFGE

http://www.sccatl.org/ for Southern Comfort

Other events that I know of but have not been to are
The Colorado Gold Rush http://www.gicofcolo.org/cgr/
Eureka in Arkansas http://femmegetaway.com/
Dignity Cruise http://www.pmpub.com/
Esprit in the northwest http://www.espritconf.com/
Fantasy Fair in Provincetown MA http://www.fantasiafair.org/
and Fall Harvest in Nebraska http://www.fallharvest.net/

There are others.

Holiday Enfem, is this weekend and is open to all CDer's. It is kinda expensive, since a one day ticket is $150.00, but it inculeds breakfest, lunch, dinner, and a concert tomorrow evening.

Sorry about the late posting, but between my mothers illness, vacation, and work, I seem to have missed this thread.

To tracylin and Any Other Interested Gurlz,
When you say New York, I am assuming you mean the New York City area. If you live near Buffalo, there is the Lake Eire Gala later this month, previously mentioned in this thread. The next big event close to New York City is First Event by the Tiffany Club of New England, January 17 to 21, 2007. There is a new hotel, Boston Burlington Marriott, in Burlington MA. The website for the event is: http://www.tcne.org/FE2007.html I personally have gone to this event and had a great time there. It is best to have a room mate, because the hotel bill can be quite expensive. There are no major CD conventions really near New York City. Hopefully there will be Beauty and the Beach in November 2007 in Rehoboth Beach, Del.

hi there girls
well not relay.. i have been involved in conventions before.. all you need is

1. a location pick a state
2. a hotel
3. pick a date
4. add vender's

then a few good key people to arrange some interesting topics a dinner dance.. some fun activities that would be of interest. some speakers .. and add people and let the fun begin.
