I am so happy atmo .
Matalan (cheap, but now good, clothing chain here in UK) started a Sale today and I'd been planning to go with my sister, but we had a falling out yesterday, so she is giving me the childish silent treatment and didnt turn up.
So... I went on my own!
Now that may not sound like much, but I suffer from Social Phobia and Agoraphobia, so going out alone is a major challenge for me... let alone going shopping for female clothing.
Therefore going to Matalan alone today, browsing the Women's section (inc skirts and footwear) with no embarassement and eventaully buying some tops (which is all I was after - didn't see the ruched boots I saw on the website), is a big thing for me.
I wasn't 100% en-femme, but I was 100% in my FT andro look (female jeans, t-shirt, hoody tracksuit top, female denim jacket, along with the long hair, ear-rings, silver rings... oh and a new addition to the look, an oblong canvas 'handbag').
I did get looked at, quite a bit in fact (I guess andro draws more curiousity than than full en-femme... specially with a bag), but I didnt care, I was happy and confident.
Tonight I have my first Open University Tutorial and I fully intend to go to this too (on my own of course).
With Mum and Dad being away I feel a new freedom, a new excitement about life, a new drive. OK, so it comes and goes (and sometimes I feel totally opposite), but it's getting stronger.
