Got home early from work today. Had nothing planned so I shower and shaved all. Then started getting dress. I was ready to go when the phone rang. By the time I got off the phone it 7:30 so I rushed to the mall. Went to Payless for some boots the SA asked if she could help me call me madam. Then show me more boots (call me dear). Found a pair of black 3" heel boots then a black wallet. When paying ask cash or credit Honey. Paid and left. I was in heaven. Walking thought the mall nobody was look at me like a man in a dress.

So went to Macy's bought a black skirt size 10. Try on 3 before I found one.The SA was helpful showing me blouses that went with the skirt. Kept calling me honey. Wasn't busy so I went to the Clinique counter ask about a makeover said it would take a half hour but they couldn't do one to night to make a appointment.

Now my confidence is sky high. So off to Meijer's need some female things. Anti age cream, cotton balls nail polish remover ect... Got my things people walking by in the aisles nobody even care just a woman shopping. As I was going to the checkout 2 soft sweaters just jumped into my into my cart. They should go nice with my new skirt. Paid and came home.

Don't want to shop in drab again. Sorry so long just high as a kite and don't want to come down. :) :) :) :)

I just love hearing stories like this! It really helps the girls who may be on the fence about going out. I am one of the girls who fell from the fence face first a few weeks ago and I want to fall again soon!

Thanks for sharing this with us!

Glenda -- Isn't it nice? I have done a little shopping en femme and it's completely different than en drab. You're a curosity en drab. Dressed, you're one of the girls.

You go girl! I've been out in public a few years now and I still hesitate to mingle with the salepersons like you did. Nice job.

Hopefully that means you fell out into the world, not back into the closet. You look too cute to be stuck indoors.

Glenda - that's just terrific. I am so pleased everything went so well for you. Having just started shopping en femme myself, I certainly agree that it is hard to beat!!!

Thanks so much for sharing.

Glenda, sounds like you had a lot of fun. My fear of the makeover would be if they removed the beard cover to start over. Maybe if they did it after the store closed.

I love it when this happens, I know exactly how you feel. It's the sort of feeling that's quite hard to describe but it really makes you feel so good about yourself.
