Hi All,

Although I have been out to 'cd safe' venues before, tonight I am going out for all of 10 minutes (shock horror!) to walk to the post box and mail a letter. This is such a big deal for me but it is an experience I want. I have no idea if I'll meet anyone or what'll happen if I do but I'm going anyway....

Wish me luck

Em
p.s. I won't be tottering down in high heels and mini skirt - I'll just dress sensibly!

sensible. good option!

I may have to pay a trip to the recycling later, and I really can't be bothered to change.

Emma.

All the best, now you have posted your intentions, we will wait to hear from you.

I am certain a lot of planning has gone into this.

Sophie.

Hi All

Well that was the most nerve-wracking self-conscious exhilarating 20 minutes of my life....

Left here at 8 pm GMT, got back at 20 past. Had a nervous moment with white van man who was parking - had to tell myself not to panic and then just when I'd coped with that, met the compulsory group of 4 teenage girls on my pavement(sidewalk). I think their tranny-radar must be in for an overhaul - they crossed over and carried on walking. Must get a pair of shoes which fit properly - was wearing ankle socks which proceeded to collect around my (first-time painted) toenails!

Just for info, wore jeans, t-shirt and jumper with a white light jacket. I probably could have blended in more if I'd been wearing camouflage jacket but I thought it was bland enough.

I don't remember breathing until I closed the front door again but I made it and I'm thrilled and I know what I have to work on now.

A very happy (and relieved) Em
