Wondering about this old internet thing, I have noticed that there are many different Crossdressing resrouces in the UK and Europe. I've also noticed that there are a lot of UK girls here...

Are we americans too "stuck up" to be online about crossdressing? I mean, its really Bizzare to me that the UK has more CD/TG resources being that it is a much smaller country (population wise only).

So my main question:

- Are there any CD/TG services in the Upper North East of the US

The reason there are more UK CDs is because they watch a lot of Monty Python over there.
As far as stores go, when I lived in NYC, I would shop at any store that sold fem items. If women did this, then so could I. Nobody cared if a man bought womens' items.
But for specific Cd items like gaffs, bigger shoes, and whatnot, I would tell you to try on-line to find what you need. I think Tristen has a links thread with Cd resourses. I don't know of any walk-in type stores that cater soley to CDs.

The problem with thease CD stores is they charge double or more for what I can get in just about any womans department just because its for a crossdresser.

Hi Megan.
Welcome to the forum.
If you know your sizes E-Bay is a great place, I find to buy if you are too shy to go in stores, I am not shy to shop stores but I still shop e-bay at times.
Happy Shopping.

Roberta is quite correct these so called 'Specialist CD shops' purport to cater for the CD market yet fleece people by their over the top prices.

Buy from normal high street stores and you'll fill your wardrobe for much less.

There really isn't that much of a shortage of CD shops over there, is there?

The CD shops I have looked into here (UK) are very expensive.
There are not that many UK Cds on this site actually. We just like blethering a lot.

I have to agree, specialist TV shops are very overpriced. Go to normal shops, you get better quality stuff, cheaper and you get the thrill of being there too.

Thank you! I sort of felt like I was missing out on something by being an American... ;-) Well, I suppose I always feel like that, but oh well...

Hi Megan

No babe you are not mising out on that much being an American, just looks, humour, wit, brains, delightful personalities, devastating conversation, and generally just simple all round brillance.
LOL
well actually i suppose that is a fair bit. Ok just forget i said that LOL

On a serious note if i may my conception has always been that CD's are better catererd for in the USA. I have been very surprised to find that this is not the case.
i suppose we will just have to wait a few more years until we see shops that cater for us and yet do not rip us off. Or is that a fairy tale

Megan,
I agree with the other girls. It's a waste of much money to buy from CD stores, unless you're unusually tall or heavy, and judging by your avatar, I would guess not. You'll find a much larger, and nicer, selection of clothing from normal shops, most of which sell over the net if that is what you wish. And they all seem to have sizing charts, which is good since women's sizes seem to vary from one manufacturer to the next.
And no matter what you believe, these stores love us spending our money there.

No not really england is not as staid as most poeple think they have a lot of great stuff over there including CD stuff. The USa does seem to be rather stuffy on a lot of this which makes it kind of hard for us Cd's over here to find stuff not that it can not be done if you will search for it it is out there I have found lots of cd stuff. So I know. Suzy!
