Hi Everyone,

I was wondering what kind of jobs everyone has. I know that all my life I have had many jobs that are manual labor jobs and I always out perform everyone else. I guess I feel that I need to show them that I am a real man, although deep inside I know I am female inside. I am a semi driver now and unload my loads myself and faster than all the others as we go to the same places to unload all the time and I get compliments on how fast I do unload and complaints that I am to fast. I have worked as a Highway Maintenance Worker doing everything from Laying concrete, cutting brush, Jack hammer work all kinds, and everything! I have built a garage myself, I have done alot of the things all by myself as I do not have that many friends. I have been screwed over by many male friends in the past and I am very leary of anyone. Well back to my questions. How many of you have worn items under your clothes without anyone noticing. In the winter time I have done this many many times. Lately I think I have been pushing it though and I don't need to get caught as it would be the end of my job.
GOD BLESS YA ALL!!!

I know exactly what you are talking about, Amy. I have made a career of switching careers for much the same reasons. I've done hot-tar roofing, construction, welding, just about everything except soldiering. I've had office jobs in management, and under my Armani I was wearing DKNY or Calvin Klein hosiery. Yep, been there and done that:D
Right now, I am in the process of obtaining a MS in Education. I want to teach PhysEd and science in the NYC PS system:bonk:

I was wondering what kind of jobs everyone has.

I was thinking about that the other day, wondering whether there are correlations between CD and occupation. I was thinking vaguely about a poll, but gave that up when I remembered how over-generalized standard questions about occupation end up being. I'm "government" according to most of them -- now what the heck does that tell you about what I do?
Polls here only accept 10 choices, and that just doesn't seem enough. The classifications available in 10 questions probably wouldn't have room for anything more specific than (say) "science".

Myself, I've pretty much always worked in the fields of science computing or communications computing.

I've spent a lot of time in state government, the publishing industry and journalism, academia as a graduate student, libraries, and religion. Also a brief time in show business. I've always underdressed some of the time, but not 24/7, 365. Interestingly, after state government, all of my career efforts have been in professions where women are becoming or already are the majority.

I too am a tow truck driver and I dress 24/7 and have quite a time with the customers(girl talk with the GG's) and the guys really don't know what to think . The dispatchers always want to chek out my nail colors when I change the color or when I dye my hair.I get along very well with the people I work with and enjoy dressing on a regular basis.

i have also had lots of jobs,i think if i transition,i'd stop it,i've done mcdonalds, metal fab 2 places,3 auto shops, boat marina, hardware store, radio station, and some lil side jobs at construction places.i'm tired of going through jobs.

hi, michelle. wondered the same thing myself over the years. i have come to the conclusion that many of us have. there does seem to be an element of over-compensating for our femme sides with macho jobs.methinks i need to start a separate thread to discuss this. but yes i guess we all must have worn girly things under our male clothes, some of us more than others.

I work in the Radiation Protection field. When I was an instructor I would under dress often. Now I am back out in the field and can not because I have to change into company clothing when I get to work. I do not think it would be wise to be wearing panties and a bra and have to change clothes in a room full of men.

Wow what a thread!

Ok, I had been in mental health since 1977. (shrink)
I had an advertising company for several years,
then went into music then into sales
and then retial stores (where I really made money)
All the while maintaining at least the minimal client/patient requirement to maintain my professional credentials.

I did this by sleeping very little over 25 years, and working almost constantly. It was a lot of fun.

Anyhow, as an experienced analyst I see a very similar overcompensating trend here. Men will compete over drag racing or log splitting or who can work harder, faster, better etc.

I had a great friend (recently passed on)
We had a sort of competition from the late seventies to start and run business successfully.
He won by the way, but we both worked very hard at this.
He was runing seven companies when he died.

I was running two, companies
plus a successful family counseling practice,
(third)
and starting a new construction company (fourth)
and I was the president of a national charity and on the board of another!
Really this is all incidental and I only tell this to point out we may all have the same disease but we just act it out a little differently.

I rarely talk about it this stuff these days.
But I have settled down ad re-thought many things since my friends death.

I have wondered why any man feels compelled to work so hard.
Now for the first time in my life I am only doing ONE THING!!
(Wonder how long that will last...)
I am now simply a contractor and retired from all counseling.
(Although I have taken three emergency suicide calls this year)

Let me end with this, I have been working in a clients house finishing a renovation.
The woman who owns the house commented on some of my habits.

For example I actually ask people for directions if I get lost and I never ever leave the toilette seat up and a few other work habits.

She said that I was amazingly female in some of my thoughts and patterns.

And I was suitably honoured and very flattered.

So there. I am no longer compelled to over compensate.

Jestina.

*Billie Renee* a smile and Curtsey right at you for being you.

I was in the army for 25 years....not much chance to dress in that enviroment but once i got home, i would quickly change and felt much more comfy. Now working as a computer tech, i wear a little make up and perfume every day, only panties and am loving it. I keep my fingernails quite long but only paint them with a matt clear finish. No hassles from anybody.

I find Justinas Quote special. As she stated Drag Racing. This is something that I have gottin into just this year. I am racing in what they call Bracket Racing, which is what I concider the most fair of all Racing. It puts slower car against faster cars and it boils down to the driver who wins or loses the race. Back to the thread. I think it is great everyone is contributing something and to find that I am not the only one who has had many different jobs, most very masculine. While still yearning to be Female, and taking chances like I have wearing Panties and Bras under our regular clothes. Then there's the real lucky ones who can do it whenever and wherever they want, and can be the girl they should have been. I Love to dress I only wish I could pass as I once could.
GOD BLESS US ALL!!!

Why Amy Wannabe;

You Drag rRace???

There is one of us called "Dragster" (Love it)

I was in bracket racing years ago.

Got my heart broke and sent home all wet.

Had a 10 second car that was not competetive in its class!

So I just drove it on the street.

I am into vintage course racing now, you know "Watkins Glen" Virginia

International Raceway" any track on the east coast.

Ahem,,,macho overcompensation anyone???

Word up my friend, don't be in a wreck wearing panties.

Happened to me in the DEEP south. HAHAHA got out of that one but...

Amy Hepker
10-22-2006, 06:48 PM
Justinta, I never would race that way silly. I can't believe that you did, and then wrecked. Did anyone find out??? I used to race on the street for many many years, I now do it legally and safely. Can't afford to lose my licence, I drive Semi for a living. I have from time to time wore a bra and panties while driving truck. Just last week I did and what a treat. The bra itched and reminded me constantly, I also put clear nail polish on too. Some people say they can't tell it's on, but I can, it makes my nails feel tight and keeps reminding me. I only wish I could all the time, but for now I have to keep it hidden. Oh, I did see the Dragster you were talking about replying to something the other day, but I don't know if she races. I love to race, it's in my blood, just like dressing.
GOD BLESS US ALL!!!

I actually posted the short version of that story on another thread.
I did wreck one of my sweetest cars and I was wearing an obvious pair of frillies.

You see though, in Vintage racing we love our cars.
I am on the track with guys who have million dollar irreplaceable cars.
It is supposed to be a gentlmans sport.
We do push the cars to their reasonable limits given consideration for the dear things age. But if you choose to race an original Ferrari testa Rosa
or a genuine Jaguar "C" type, worth over a million bucks U.S. you really want to see that car stay in one piece right?
(By the way that isn't me, my car is of a muuch more humble value and I race full size European sedans.)

I know that is NO excuse for doing it but it just happened that way.

I saw the tow truck driver coming at me he was definetley in the wrong place at the wrong time GRRR and he looked like a "good ol' boy"
and when I saw that it for sure wasn't Billie Renee
so in lightning thinking I reached down and with serious adrenaline I ripped off those panties and pulled them up and into my outer pocket.

I Here is the punch line though, I was hit by a track vehicle (tow truck) at a very low speed, just like Dale Earnhardt ...the low speed wreck caused a disproportionate amount of damage to me and the car.
I was seriously busted up!

I now have double the value of the car in it's restpration and I am not yet done!

And I never did that again!!

BTW Rowan Atkinson vintage races a mid 50's Jaguar MK 7 sedan.
Butas far as I know he does not Cross Dress. Too bad eh?

Forgive my very slight embellishment there Billie Renee
I just think you are cool from your job description
Oh yeah I am a contractor now right?

I'm a machinist and am the same way with the macho thing. I often wear panties to work yet am careful not to be found out, though that wouldn't be the end of the world. I actually find it reassuring that there are tow truck drivers in here.

Discounting the fact that it was a track tow vehicle that hit me...on the track,,,,,,,this is not supposed to happen!?!?!! (that was a wierd one)

But drag racing is no promise of not wrecking.
as I am sure you know.

I just thought of something...it might be very cool to support one another at the race track, how bout a pit crew that was totally supportive?

Might be fun to cross paths at a track.

I wear various hats at a small software development company (mostly under-the-hood coding and tech support). Though I wear a number of items openly that are technically women's (shoes, socks, belt, watch, earrings) and a couple that aren't for show (:heehee: ), if anybody has noticed, no one has said anything. And I don't try to draw undue attention to it (the office is awfully conservative). If I got a vibe of acceptance for such things there, I might be a bit more open. As it is, I think the Sahara would be more accepting of water lilies.

Heck I'm to the point now I've started applying for seasonal minimum wage jobs part time. Somehow I doubt I'm gunna have much luck with that. Any pointers? I know my interviews are great, the same companies call me back to interview for other positions. How do you move to another field, how do you reinvent yourself. I currently work for an insurance agent, but was also a retail store manager for over 10 years. Currently looking for something much closer to home that I would enjoy doing more. I've worn nylons & a garter to work on occasion, but that was about it, since I normally keep my dressing at home.

Did many types of work in my younger years, and sometimes wore lingerie. Have been in insurance sales, for myself, for almost 30 years and wear panties almost every day. Since my wife passed away, I dress totally almost every evening, especially if I am going out to eat.

17 miles from my home, when I'm there of course... I used to help out a friend of mine who ran a NASCAR-spec pavement modified.

I am not much into NASCAR, but if I said I like drags would that make up for it?

A funny thing happened on a Watkins Glen vintage race weekend...
I always drive to the track, race, then drive home, or down to Richmond VA my second home!!

After a really high speed "Watkins Weekend" I was on the freeway and heard a flap flap flap from my tyres.
I stopped in "Corning" to change my tyre as it was disintegrating!!

Wow, that was close eh? Memories of New York State!!
AND GUESS WHAT???????

This time I wasn.t wearing ANYTHING femme.

I was visiting a lady friend who knows NOTHING about my dressing.
Glad that's over.

Someday my work will evolve into a combo of everything I love.

Oh yes...ummmm work ...right ummm

I wish I was an Oscar Myer Wiener......

I'm a computer web expert, without getting into much detail I maintain about 75 webservers for a major corporation, including databases etc. I don't do the cisco stuff, just the web stuff including dabbling in some code.
I do a lot on and with teh web, pretty mundane behind the scenes stuff (Like the machine this site resides on etc)

During summer I race boats...

Dang I wish I were not in the closet sometimes but my employer would get rid of me in a heartbeat if they knew me LOL.....

Well Amy, I would have to say that I have done that for a very long time, and like you if I ever get cought I will most likly loose my job. And like you I have held many jobs in my life, and most of them in the construction field. Also like you I do very well at what I do, and most of the time, I am treated like an outsider, as I don't or did not have many friends, well at least male ones. I have tried many times to go out with the guys after work, but somehow we always wound up at some bar, and most of them would get really drunk and act a fool. I for one did not want any part of it. The guys always looked down on me because I would not get stupid drunk.

As always Loves :hugs:

Hey TC, I always say "DOn't call me an expert, 'X' is an unknown factor and 'spurt' is a propelled drip" LOL.

Couldn't help myself...honest!

Just laff and I will stop I promise...

You race boats??

Now that is an adrenaline sport.
Racing cars has nothing over fast boats.
I will stick to cars fer sure.

Especially since my old ones give me an excuse not to get too squirrly.

Good (silk) nighty I think.

Actually I live in Corning. I just don't like to broadcast the fact. I'm primarily on open wheel type of guy. I grew up on supermodifieds as a kid. Back then they were either homebuilts or sprint cars with a bolt-on roll cage and a wing. Basically, you name it and I've probably seen it run somewhere. This covers from midgets up to and including all the F-1 and CART events in downtown Detroit, CART at Long Beach and Michigan and the IRL at WGI.

I didn't discover vintage events until I moved to the area about 15 years ago. Since then I've been to a number of vintage events at WGI and once each to Loudon and Laguna Seca. There's some neat machinery out there and it's great that people are putting out the effort and $$ to keep cars on the track.

When I started this thread, I thought I would be the only one with many jobs under me, But I was proven wrong. It seems we all are just trying to find our place, and it seems many of you have and are able to dress under your drab clothes, and some even all the way. I only wish I could pass so that I could come out and let the world see the real me. I am just to dang big. My hands are twice the size of any girl and I wiegh in at 235Lbs at 6'5". I am trying to lose weight, and get back down to 170Lbs like I was 5 years ago, but at 50 that's had to do. Love Ya All!

I have several things to say here...(What's new with that huh?)

First, I loved Corning during the 1/2 hour or so I was there.
Open wheel is much more my direction.

One of my majors was "sociology" and to this day I still read everything I find on the topic.
I wonder if there is a connection here to all of these similarities between us.

I am betting that there is a much higher than agverage I.Q. as well and possibly some other similarities concerning brain function.

Oh and hello again Amy Wannabe!

Once again our paths cross, I wanted to reply concerning your size.
I will not say why but there was a cross dresser I used to hire on a regular basis. He ws over three hundred pounds and he was 6'4" and when dressed he could be VERY passable.
It just depends on how serious you would be prepared to get, and how brazen you are willing to be.

I will never forget my first meeting with him, walking into his dressing room and seeing a giant 300 pound man in pantyhose. I was traumatized (LOL) and wondered if he was going to pull off what I had hired him for.
He did and I hired him repeatedly over those years.

So for all you big girls out there GO FOR IT!!!
You can do it if you want to.

I start out as a auto mechanic right out of high school by the time I was 21 I was the shop foreman. I also had some land leased and raised hay I would haul hay by my self. Six months after my first back surgery I was hauling hay. After my last surgery I took no pain med's and drove my self home from Salt Lake (250 miles) the day after. I have always push my self to the limits but I never thought it had to do with CDing but I can see the connection now. I don't raise hay any more but I still haul hay for my horses, I could have it delivered for a small fee but I steal choose to haul it my self, by my self. I am going to have another surgery this winter on my lower back. This thread has made me think a lot about why I push my self so much and why I have to stop this macho s???.

Alas, it would seem that masculine over-compensation is almost the rule. :) I am in a super-masculine prefession (law enforcement), and prior to that I was in the military. I believe many of us have worn feminine things under our male clothes, and I understand all too well about "pushing it". It's gotten me in some VERY hot water at home.

Stay safe!

Oh come on Ladies, I know there are alot of others out there that work in Male Jobs. I know, I got stuck with the masculine jobs because I am so, big. I took Desktop publishing one time and everytime I went for a computer job I ended up operating a Printing press. I even worked for a newspaper company once.

Yah me too curious...However, I am struck with the opposite possibility.
I studied to be an esthetician once.

I have a dear friend GG who knows about me fully and who worked in a salon.
She said women would LOVE to have an attractive man doing their nails.
She said I would make a fortune.

Finished the course and did my GG friends feet many times and every woman I have been with since but NEVER did it in a salon!!!

So like Amy I want to know more but here is my question,,,how many of you are doing female type jobs??

Well, in part, this is how we have been conditioned by society at large. We are supposed to be tougher, work harder, player harder, have little regard for our bodies, be strong, don't cry and on and on. To do less invites questioning of ones manhood. But, what happens is that it keeps us separated from each other and those we care about. The need for closeness (physical and emotional) tends to be regarded as weakness, unfortunately. A prime example of this is my father. He's 83 and I'm almost 58 and he still has a hard time hugging me. As Obewan said: The Force is strong in that one...

I had always loved the resterant industry. I had to leave home at a little over 13 years of age. From that time I worked in resterants all over the U.S.A. (48 out of 50 states). I started cross dressing when my then traveling partner Mariko had me do it for one of our sessions of erotic-fantasy role play.
(god rest my wifes soul)
I now have a little over 19 years in the resterant industry, and i still wear pantyhose, panties, nearly unisex womans jeans, and bras under my clothes at work. (most of the people whom have caught me while at work were confused about me (is he gay??), but because of my personality, and the way i do my job they are won over. (ahh he's just kinky)

I am wearing womans cloths now with my mother standing behind me, and even if she does not like it. She is suportive of me as a person.

I am a machinist. Have done everything from donut baker to home builder. I enlistd in the military in the 60's. Have drove truck, was a mechanic and now I guess I will retire as a machinist. Still underdress everyday, but I have kept it a secret at work as I know it would cost me my job.

I am an accountant and therefore too boring....etc. etc. I do wear lingerie and stockings from time to time when at work but it gives me an overpowering urge to wear a skirt and heels as well which would be career suicide. They would fire me for not being boring enough and therefore a disgrace to the profession.

I may be retired and not know it yet but I spend most of my working life in Engineering.

I went to school for electronic design and engineering. It was hard to get in anywhere, just a newbe in the 70's. Started to do a lot of other things... Antenna systems, TV repair, (Had 2 shops in 2 towns at different times), hotel maintenance, construction delivery flatbed driver...
Wow... Just thinging about it, I've done a lot... Lets see...
Construction... Framing, drywall finishing, painting, punch out.
The last was as a electronic tech and mechanical maintenance man for a small amusement park and an arcade. Loved it, kept me real busy and called on all of my talents.
I'm retired now due to P.A.D. so I just take it easy living on SSDI and some other under the table work I do for friends... Fixing computers, replacing wall switches... the list goes on. I never ask for money, but they donate some, and insist I take it.
