With all the fun posts on Halloween and other posts about us C.D.'s being alone in the world, ( O.K. maybe that's a bit carried away, but it does seem that way sometimes  ) I thought I would share something I've done the last couple of Halloweens. Using Microsof Word, I've made some "business" cards with my fem name, fem photo and the Tri-Ess chapters contact e-mail plus a little about the club on the back that I hand to any likely looking fem costumed people at public parties. Usually there are several parties around town that are fun to party hop to and there are always several "gurls" there.
The idea came to me after my wife and I were at one of the indian casinoes parties one year. There were an unusually high number of "gurls" there. My wife has always known how I feel about the unfortunate circumstances that come into play on letting the "In the closet" C.D.'s know about our clubs existance. I mean, if the numbers are even close then our city of Phoenix of has an over 18 male population of about 1,500,000. And if approx. 1 in 20 males are C.D.'s then there must be 75,000 C.D.s in Phoenix. I know there are only a handfull of alternate lifestyle clubs in town - and I would be EXTREEMLY generous to give them a club count of 1000. That means there are 74,000 possible C.D.ers out there that may be looking for us, and not know where to look.
I'm really not trying to use this post as a way tooting my own horn or of advertising our club - I just want a lot of the members here to know there really is a lot of ways out there to meet others like us if we use our noodles. And if we meet others like us and enjoy each other - think of how much more fun this world can be.
Enjoy Halloween everyone. :Party2:

You go girl! Nice idea about handing out the cards. I love living in a rural part of Oklahoma, but I certainly wish I lived close to a metroplex that had a Tri-Ess chapter. Hours of driving and the simple expense of traveling, not to mention lodging, childcare and such. I just can't make the trip to Dallas-Ft. Worth for their monthly meetings - wish I could.

Jenna, Jenna, Jenna..... (Said with head shaking and a wink)
Did you ever think that you could do the same as I, but instead of the club -just put THIS website link? The information gathered here just may be what the person needs to kick start thier own life into gear! ( Or do themselves in, depending on what posts they read! )
You don't even have to give it to them in person. Just slip it on thier table or somewhere where they will see it.
Hugs,
Stephanie

Hi Stephanie,
I have been actively dressing and out and about since 1999. I live near New York City and have no problems being in public there. I would never think of going out in public in my town in New Jersey. I am a member of Tri-Ess and Crossdressers International in New York. The reason I am making this reply is that I have found way too many CDs on this forum deep in the closet. I want to inspire them to join a support group such as Tri-Ess, Renaissance, CDI, The Beaumont Society (In the UK) or other local support group. Also, I want gurlz to take pride in their appearance. If there is no support group near you, there might be a specific CD event to meet other CDs.
