was curious,i am always trying to have a social life and not getting anywhere.i am non op currentlywaiting for a prescribed dose for hormones.i can't find anyone to hang with in the area.i have squat for family support in my hobbies, jobs, health decisions, even when i reversed my own blindness and a lawyer gave me credit and was amazed.i talk to doctors and get "wow, you know a lot".yet i never get anything from family and am never admired for any good i do,not to mention i'm now the only child.i try to talk to mom female to female and she says her show is on tv,yet 2 minutes ago she was trying to talk to step dad and he said don't care and walked away,i wanted to talk and she said go away.not to mention she has cancer and her days are numbered.when i need out of here cause of anxiety, yet noone calls me anymore,or tells me their changed phone number.i spend most of my time watching will and grace 10am/pm/10:30am/pm or else i am removing hairs until i can afford electrolysis.i want out of here so bad ,but nowhere to go for now.
does anyone else have a lack of social life ,not by choice or poor parenting or family help?
thanks for your info,

Ya, I really have no social life, but that's partly because I work afternoon shifts mostly. The people I know that enjoy the same hobbys as me are all on some other schedule then mine. I've been doing this for so long that it seems normal to me now. The thing I miss the most about a social life is being able to interact with other people with the same interests.
PS- my electrolygist told me that plucking beard hairs just makes them stronger and grow back larger. I had a lot of those big ugly facial hairs on my jawline, she's gotten most of them now, but every couple of weeks she finds a few more when I go for my appointment.

I had the good fortune to find some gals (in Portland Maine, where I just left) who enjoyed my company on the Friday dancing level. Grade school teachers in their 20s. I was probably exotica to them but they were always 100% respectful and kind and good dancers, too. So maybe work on your moves a bit?

I don't know anybody... I have a few Online friends, but nobody to call or hang out with. And I'm very social, so it's not that I'm not trying... I guess I'm just boring!

I can so identify with that. I don't know anybody where I live either. I get on with my colleagues at work but like you have nobody to call or hang out with. I'm probably boring too but I don't let it worry me. You're not alone.

I know that I'm boreing and no fun to party with, it's a bad social habit for me. I have my hobby interests but it's hard to find others to share these with.

It's the same problem I have. I have lots of interests, but they're very "nerdy".

To have a friend you must first be a friend.
To do that, you must meet new people.
Take a class.
Go dancing.
Join a specialist hobby group.
Attend the church of your choice.
Get involved in politics.
Volunteer somewhere.
Spend less time here and other online forums.
BE FUN.
Easy for me to say, harder to do. But I do get out and enjoy my social life. Remember that even if you are very attractive, people will not beat a path to get to know you.

I have so many GG friends, they enjoy me for who I am. Funny, the question that eventuaoly comes up with the GG's is " does it look normal"
I always offer to show them reality.
Most times they accept.
