Ever been in this situation?
Although it has happened several times, mother's latest one was today.
I visited her today and a GG friend of hers was with her.
Mother mentioned her first ever pedi and polish that she had a few days ago and jokingly/teasingly said to her friend that maybe I'd have been better behaved had she made me wear red nail polish when I misbehaved while younger:o
She did however tell her friend I was very well behaved and she only said it as a joke.

Maybe deep down she knew or wished that you were a girl, to bad she didnt follow up on the theret, who knows you may have been closer to being her little girl than you know, talk too her and ask if you can go with her the next time and that you would even treat her,and ask if she would pick out a pretty color for her little (bad Girl) has she said anything to you about cding,?? maybe that was her way of letting you know she approved, good luck, Love Charolette

When I was a child my mother would tell me that I would have made a pretty girl. That made me so happy.

I also suspect she knows and is being as sweet as she can about it.

My mother has been the same about it. I've quite often heard her make jokes about wearing a bra, needing new panties, what size dress I wear, etc. Personally, I find it kinda offensive, especially when she all but kicked me out of the house when I was younger and she found my stash under the mattress.
I remember one "joke" she made: (After I mentioned I needed to get new socks...) Why? Have you been stuffing your bra with them?

In reality I think my mother was anti male. She did nothing for me and threated several times when I was growing up to "cut off my thing"! I was TG when I was four but her lack of mothering made me feel less than human. On the other hand my sister got all the attention she could handle. So I guess you could say I wished I was a daughter.

If your nails were not painted a bright red when you were there she was probably just making a joke. People joke about sensitive subjects all the time, in this instance she managed to hit a nerve.
hi your mom knows something. better tell her she is trying to tell you in a nice way .. i think it's time to tell ... hugs

My mother has also made a few remarks, especially lately as my finger nails are quite long. She gave a bunch of old jewlery a while back which included clip on earrings, saying they might be something i would want to keep as an heirloom.....i wear them quite often, thanks Mom...I'm sure she knows more than i give her credit for. She will be 80 next march and i'm going to visit but i'll have my ears pierced by then....i sure to hear about it. She still loves me but the generation she grew up in wouldn't accept my life style but she is trying i think......Love you mom....
Lois...

The only thing that I remember, and it wasn't a joke, was my father-in-law, after something on TV about crossdressers, saying "F_gs." I know I looked at my wife, who knew, and just rolled my eyes.

When I told my younger brother (Who was pretty cool about it) about my TG'rism He said "Am I allowed to Gig you about it?". Those were the sweetest words I could have heard. It was his way of accepting me as I am.

When I was about 15, my hair was longer than it should have been in my mother's expectations. She had me sit at her vanity and started putting rollers in my hair. She told me to either get a hair cut or she'd curl my hair. (I should have stayed there and challenged her to curl my hair, She's as stubborn as I am.)

My first time out was at a Halloween party too many years ago to say.
Of course we took lots of pictures and when I showed my mom she handed them to dad and said.... "this is what your daughter would have looked like if we had had one" ... little did they know...
